If you have any experience with Street Fighter II, or other games that require D-pad rotational maneuvers, you will see the problem this causes. Everything about this controller is good except the direction (D) pad. In short, the controller cannot disengage any cardinal direction unless the opposite direction is pressed, or the entire D-pad is disengaged.Apart from that issue, the controller is compatible, comfortable, durable, and has enough buttons to use with a PSX emulator or an emulator for any previous console. The same thing happens if you hold DOWN, then rotate to DOWN-RIGHT or DOWN-LEFT, then back again. Unless mine has a defect (I don't think it does), there is a small flaw in the design of the circuit:If you hold UP on the D-pad, then rotate to UP-RIGHT or UP-LEFT, then release the RIGHT or LEFT component, the controller does not disengage the RIGHT or LEFT signal, but still registers a diagonal direction. The same thing also happens if you start by holding LEFT or RIGHT and rotate to an adjacent diagonal. Just don't try to throw a fireball in Street Fighter games, and this controller will serve you well.
I think this controller is pretty good. The size and shape of it is pretty cool and its pretty versitile. Use it for some flite simulators and Croc 2.
