The length of the gooseneck is overkill, and very hard to position well. Even from the best angle there's a certain amount of glare. Also, the way it mounts to the GBA doesn't work well, it's difficult to remove, and nearly impossible for kids to do.I just can't recommend this light, I'd suggest looking for something else.
I've been reading the reviews on the sharklight and some of them say that the light keeps moving but with me is the other way around. The little piece that you attach to the gameboy is so tight that I can't remove it and as a result I cannot put the gameboy in its travel pack because it doesn't fit anymore, its really annoying and not helpful at all. I wish I would have read these reviews before buying it.
My 11 year old gave it this review: "the worst light light you can get". IMHO this product needs some more R and D work. It has to be constantly rebent into position. He is a little extreme, but we did have these problems with it: The light is pretty weak, and when you turn it up to full volume it makes the batteries die really fast. In addition, the flexible shaft doesn't stay in place. I do not recomment it in its present form, instead, check out the magnifier light.
The light is not strong enough, terrible glare.Looks cheap.
It was very irksome sometimes. This light was helpful, and it could fit on a Game Boy Color or a Game Boy Advance, which was good. However, the design was annoying and you had to adjust it until you got the right angle. You'd be better off getting some other light.
