But getting this thing going took far far more time than it should have. The build quality is excellent and it does what it is supposed to do very well. For what it is, this is an awesome product. But be prepared to fuss with it for a while before you get it working properly. The problem is that the setups that ship with the product are totally out of date and their webs site looks like it was developed by a 14 year old. If you edit a lot of video this makes your life infinitely easier. Ultimately I got them to send me instructions on how to set it up to work with the latest version of iMovie.
The Shuttle works great and it's very intuitive to work with. If that were the case I'd use it in Priemiere and Final Cut also. I'd prefer a shuttle that you can give a spin and it'd slowly slow down. I use it especially in After Effects to go frame by frame. I'm a little bummed however with the fast forward, it does work and all, but it stops pretty abrubt when you let go. but the price is right.
This thing's awesome for video editing. Works really well with audio workstations as well. It just seems to make editing more fun.
Excellent design, sensitive to the touch and an even better price. Highly recommended for audio/video editors of all kinds.
I love this thing, with one caveat: the knurled knob's finger groove is too deepset in the wheel. It is not comfortable to turn at all, and gets stuck at the top of every turn when you're trying to turn it quickly.
