ONE STAR. They kill you the first time in training. And you can get lost too. GUNS Screw em. They're like cardboard cutouts. I got this game since it was ten bucks and it was christmas. They say this is a fun game. GRAPHICS Screw em.
Over all this game sucks terribly. I'll get to the point. And the enemies are impossible. Hate it and don't get it.
Big. They have the worst graphics ever. They're terrible. MAPS The only good thing about it.
I'm lucky I only payed ten bucks.
I have been searching for an experiance equal to the Ghost Recon series games for some time. Absolutely not open-world at all, very linear. But for the most-part, you are ducking and shooting around corners. I am a big fan of both squad-based cambat, and open-world games. Then the "Frag and Breech" commands are fairly interesting. I got bored with that pretty quickly. For squad-based shooters; go with Ghost Recon.
As a squad-based tactical shooter, I found it was sub-par. Rainbow six 3 is not it. Since you are trapped in tight hallways the whole time, there is little use for the rest of your team, other than when entering a room with multiple doors. For open-world, go with Mercenaries.I played R 6 3 for a few nights before trading it in at Gamestop.
Like, was I supposed to move less times, or move less distance. But about half way through there is a 'bug phone' mission where you have to place a device on the terrorists' phone. I'm not new to the Rainbow Six games, and I'm not new to first person shooters. Or move at certain times. Second, I spent hours on this and never could get by the guy watching TV. I loved the first person shooter missions. And I didn't feel the PS2 game gave me the necessary training to get me through this mission. And who stands in front of a widescreen tv for a half-hour.
AAAAHHHH.There's a reason this game didn't sell well. The idea of these games, not to beat a dead horse, is shooting and strategy. First of all, what terrorist hasn't switched to cell phones by 2003 (or whenever this was released). I don't want to sneak around like splinter cell (a much better game) when I have no options for climbing, knocking people out, etc. If it was just tactics and shooting (like the Rainbow Six I know and love) it would be great.
Also with grenades. I can't believe that RS: Lockdown was delayed, it looks great. On most missions you will have three other squadmates, you can order these men to cover, open and clear a room, open and frag or flashbang a room. There are some minor A.I problems especially in tight areas, like in the Import/Export mission just after the room where part 2 of the mission starts in the room w/ all the tangos, after killing them all you hide next to a window, where on the other side are bunch of tangos usually one of your squadmates will run out and stand in front of the window and get shot (you can only survive about four shots from an AR). I don't think that this game is hard, you may just have to play it 3 or more times to get it. I recently began playing this game again, because there's nothin' but crap coming out this summer. There are 15 missions where you either rescue hostages or defuse bombs, you also bug a penthouse, and snatch incriminating documents, all while shooting tangos with SMGs, ARs, LMGs, and sniper rifles. Another A.I problem is when your team is covering a door, you stand back and open the door and you're shooting a tango, on the other side of the room is another tango, your dumbass squadmate runs out in front of you and you shoot him in the head.
This game is great, if you like squad based tactics, this is your game. Well worth the money.
