I really love this little dynomite dragon. I own this and most Spyro games. Including the first three from Playstation. I won't stop til I beat mostof the Spyro games.
a spyro maniac B. and you know what else is dumb there's no life bar so you can't see if your'e dying. I have this game on my PS2 and it's fun and all but the pink dragon makes my spine tingle.I mean she has this hypnotic stare and she's trying to take MY spyro. the boss battles are soooooooooooo stupid and sooooooooo easy and you know what the enimes get dumber and dumber by the seccond so if you played this game and if your'e on my side youre'A. you hate ember
If you have a Playstation and an X-Box, take the Playstation version. You are continually trying to go back and find where where those spots were. Sometimes you are so deep in a level that when you come across a chest and don't have a key, you have to almost leave the level to go buy one. Beatable, but sometimes so difficult that I end up getting frustrated and chucking my controller. I am hoping the new Spyro game will have some kinks worked out of it for hte X-Box system.
The characters are hilarious, especially Sparx the dragonfly. It is still a great game full of querky characters though. My main problem was with the gems, the side games, and the purchasing items. Unfortunately I learned how to play Spyro on a Playstation, so I have had a hard time adjusting to the different set up of the X-Box controller. With this game, the jewels come back if you go to a different area and come back. This makes sense considering it was originally a Playstation exclusive game. In the original Spyro games, there were only a set amount of jewels you could collect from any one level. It is inconvienient.Fortunately, I still love this game.
Also, the side games are much more difficult. Also there are things you have to do in the first couple levels that you can't do until you have completed several others because they require powers that you don't get until later in the game. Moneybags comes back with a shop and to use things like fireballs you have to buy them. It takes some of the search and find fun out of the game. You have to buy keys to unlock chests, which is something I find to be a bit too much. It is easier to control and figure out than the X-Box version.
My son loves this game.
Spyro was one of the first games my 5 year old ever played.
He literally wore it out.
It was challenging enough for him without being too frustrating.
There should be more games for the 5-10 age bracket.
This game was not meant for an adult gaming audience.
There are alot of Xbox games on the market that are for more mature audiences but this one was perfect for a 5 year old.
I was surprised when I realized this game is no longer in production.
I have to find him another copy of Hero's Tail to replace his old one.
The puzzles require you to tap the jump button at a certain time. There are also very few types of enemies (like around 2-6) but they have the same AI and equally pose no challenge, seeing as they are weak and attack you one at a time. The boss battles are so simple they make you want to shoot yourself at how moronic they are. (Oh, and don't listen to the other people who gave this crudhole good reviews, they are either A. I decided to get it, I put it in my console, turned it on, and was blown away.by the stupidity.-Basic StoryIs stupid. At many instances I was breathing flame (it has a limited reach) and the enemy walked right into it.
If you don't, you go back to the beginning of the puzzle. Get better ones for yourself whomever you are giving a gift to. are not that fun.In conclusion don't make the mistake I made and steer clear of this game. Also, they are very weak dying in 1-2 hits. Bad dragon plant mean gems to kill good dragon. I really wanted to see how the developers could represent playing as a dragon, and spyro is the only one that came to mind at the time. Everybody dances because goodness prevailes.-GameplayAn atrocious story can be overlooked if the gameplay is good (mario).
Never played a decent game). Spyro good dragon, defeat evil dragon. Also, playing as the other characters (hunter, blinx etc). It combines horrible, precise jumping puzzles with abysmally stupid enemies. The enemies are dumber then a retarded 4 year old but margianally smarter than Paris Hilton.
It was maddeningly hard at some points, and I am grown. but spyro has probably the worst gameplay ever. So how hard would it be for a kid.For the enemies, they should get the darwin award. Retarded or B.
