User Comments about the Call of Duty Finest Hour

The action literally leave one breathless. The casting, and art is beyond belief. COD 4 is probably the most complete, beautiful and overall best, video game i've ever played. The only issue i have is that it is too short. The staging is well thought through and the various missions are selected to exercise every facility of the game machine.WC Hulse.

This game was just so well balanced between missions, story, music and action that I had to give it a 5/5. It is rated "T" for Teen and contains a ton of blood and a whole lot of violence. Your tour of duty on the Eastern Front with the Russians takes a total of 8 sometimes-grueling missions. At least the game is very forgiving and lets you restart the mission at the last checkpoint. There is a lot of rich and articulate detail to keep your attention. You can't go around and jump in vehicles and take off. As a lover and avid player of FPS (First Person Shooter) type games, I am probably one of the toughest critics and a game must satisfy all my criteria for me to give it a 5/5 rating. Some of the toughest battles will be fought with the Americans.

To start with, Call of Duty Finest Hour is entirely based on events that happened during World War II. Overall, this game was as close to perfect as they can get with very few technical glitches. More neat weapons used by the Brits and a lot of blowing stuff up in these levels. G-D Save the Queen. Granted it's very short and concise, but it helps to setup the game and it's many diverse and challenging levels.

And last, but not least, you go to the Western Front to fight with the American Army. A total of 7 missions await your shooting skills. This game is Single Player only, but does offer multiplayer online broadband only and 2-16 players. But, ActiVision took on a bigger role than just making a video game and actually tries and succeeds in teaching us a brief history lesson. Total missions are 19 and 23 different weapons.

It's really an awesome game, so go ahead and get a copy. The missions can be somewhat difficult to finish, but the squad leader does give you instructions (just as if you were in the army) on what you need to do or where you need to go. You will serve a total of 4 missions with the bulldogs. Call of Duty Finest Hour by ActiVision is available for the Playstation 2, Xbox and Gamecube. "Blow up that building" and "Take out those machine guns" are typical fare. Reviewed for Big Boss Games by: L.E.G. And most of the time you are a member of a "squad", so don't try to be all "Rambo" and try to defeat the Germans all by yourself.

Since this game is based on World War II, blood and violence is to be expected. Without any doubts, Call of Duty Finest Hour has successfully accomplished this lofty goal. After you complete your mission(s) as one person, you are then placed in someone else's shoes and get to fight the war from their perspective. Online gametypes are: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and Search & Destroy. You start out playing as a member of the Russian Army fighting with your comrades on the Eastern Front, from the Volga to Stalingrad.

But, this is not Grand Theft Auto. Which also opens you up to using different weapons and driving around in tanks. As in previous levels, you get more awesome weapons to shoot and tanks to drive. After the Eastern Front, you are whisked off to North Africa to serve with the British Army in Tunisia. You will get slaughtered.

All of the buildings and backgrounds used in this game are simply amazing. Like one time I was crawling around on the floor and trying to climb a flight of stairs and my character just fell through some empty space to his terrible death.

I think that this Call of Duty was to hard and the gameplay was to slow. Too hard for me atleast. I struggling to keep alive and make my objectives. I didn't enjoy this game. I didn't have fun while playing this Call of Duty. Rent before buying this one, or play call of duty 2 big red one if you have just the original xbox and your looking for a call of duty.

There are two parts in the game one in the USSR and Aachen, where you have to kill as many Nazi Panzerschreck squads before they destroy whatever needs to be protected. It took me forever to guide the m12 in the part in the game where youre playing the US.the Big Red One.but the thing was, I ended up losing once again. I love all the action, explosion.weapons and the storylines. After they destroy that townhall, Nazis come from the sewers and attack again.Bottom line.action and graphics and everything else is awesome.the overwhelming of the enemy is "pushing it" in this one. As you go more and more into the game. But this isnt the best. The enemy starts to overwhelm you too much. But I like it enuff that Im going to buy the other two parts.

Oh by the way I am a huge COD fan. Call of Duty games are the same thing every game. Anyway, my point is dont waste your money. Buy Medal of Honor Frontline, or The original Call of Duty for PC. Except now you can drive a tank at a fasinating speed of maybe 10 MPH with a gun that doesnt shoot straight. No one in 1942-1944 lived and fought like your expected in this game with the horrible firing accuracy of the guns. Right now im on a level where you have to advance two machine gunners firing at you with little to no cover.i hide behind this little wall and the bullets are flying past both sides.

Which sometimes is ridiculous. This game tries to hard also. HOW DO YOU PASS THAT WITH A BAD GUN. They try to make it accurate down to the last detail. Not some guy who bought this never playing a Call of duty game before.
