User Comments about the Myst IV: Revelation (DVD-ROM)

Also it takes a lot of time to figure out the puzzles. Very challenging game. Attention to detail is most important. It's a game that requires a lot of patience.

The graphics were great, the story line was amazing. I love this game. I have played it twice and would play it again. I hope others who play the game will feel the same.

The game is beautiful and the puzzles are fairly challenging. I originally bought this game for my Macbook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz but received and error message stating that the game is not supported. (I believe Myst URU Live is the only of the Myst series to work on Intel Macs) I was, however, able to install this on my Windows XP PC so it wasn't a total waste. I give this game a favorable review for content and not for compatiblity.

There is also much more information surrounding the characters, giving more dimension to the mystery. Ok, I was fascinated by the original Myst back when it came out. For whatever reason, the puzzles are easier for me in this game, although it may be because I'm more engaged with getting to the next step to find more clues. Haven't finished a full game yet, just having fun taking my time to get there. I have the same feelings about Riven and Exile. However, after awhile it got boring, too many puzzles and, for me, not enough storyline aspects. Myst Revelation is much better from this standpoint, and the in-game journal/camera makes things much easier as far as getting the clues one needs (I'm horrible at sketching). Beautiful graphics, game works perfectly on my Vista platform.

One of the most outstanding Adventure games that I've ever played. I have a library of Myst games. Outstanding.
