It's a good collection to have, it was very smart how they include all the Street Fighter 2 games all in one. I enjoy it a lot brought back some good memory's and best of all Street Fighter 3 Third Strike :) so I'm satisfied.
Street Fighter, is a great video game, all the characters are designed with great colur and shape and good fighting styles. This game is highly recommended because it is very exciting by fighting and use interesting characters with special moves.
It also has the Street Fighter animated movie, for what that's worth (not much in my view but you might disagree).Hyper SF2 is just as excellent and playable as you remember it with only two problems. Then get your friends over and party like it's 1990. The other is that most Xbox/PS2 controllers do not handle the special moves well. I think that it's way more fun to bring people together physically to play these games, like they used to gather around the arcade machine. My only other complaint is that they could have included Street Fighter Alpha here, too, but didn't. The parry system is gutsy and helps remove most imbalances (only Yun and Yang are too fast). OK, quick summation of what this is: It has two games.
The other is SF3: 3rd Strike, which is a separate and unique game that was overlooked by most gamers because of the advent of 3D fighters like Tekken. The PS2 now has the Alpha Anthology, but for those looking for SF Alpha for Xbox or GameCube, your best bet is Capcom v.
One is Hyper SF2, which contains all five incarnations of SF2 rolled into one. Sure, the last boss is too hard, but the single-player is not the selling point of a fighting game.In both games, I found online play pretty laggy, and had to wait a while to find someone to play, which was disappointing.
SNK 2 (but NOT the crappy Capcom Fighting Evolution). If you like fighting games, get this one. The characters are well designed, and the animation is the most fluid out of any 2D fighter ever.
You're not limited by character version; that is, you can pit Original SF2 Dhalsim against Super SF2 Guile. One, as other reviewers have mentioned, is that the AI opponent is very cheap/hard (and it only uses Super SF2 characters).
That's 50+ character variations, and while there's not much difference between them, there are a few minor instances of imbalance.I really like SF3 because it's unique. I recommend also getting the SF Anniversary controller (they're $15 and work great with all fighting games) to maximize the control tightness.
But wait, did capcom actually make a six-in-one with a bonus movie. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wanted to play any of the old Street Fighter's or the new Street Fighter 3. This anniversary series is one of the coolest games I have because it allows me to go back to when I was 12 or something like that and play the Street Fighter series all over. While I have beaten the game, Gill still remains a challenge all the time with his stupid ressurection special. My god, it almost seemed impossible to me. Wow, ever since the sega genesis and the super nes have gone off the market I had forgotten all about the street fighter series.
Alas, I have an xbox and I couldn't find a street fighter game for it. IF you do not play video games all day every day and are like me who just play video games every once in a while then you will notice what I am talking about.
After seeing the anime on television, I had to have the street fighter games. Next, the character Gill in Street Fighter 3 is just crazy hard.
However, if you are a combo making butt kicker then you will probably have no problem. All in all, this wasn't a bad game. But I know with practice.
However, this game does have its downfalls. You bet they did.
For one, I can't believe how much I incredibly sucked when playing Street Fighter 2 and its various versions. It is just a little frustrating at times.
Street Fighter Anniversary Edition is good to play. The only thing good about that game is Gil's theme. If you get this, just get it for Street Fighter 2: Anniversay Edition and Street Fighter 2: The Animated Movie. This games is wack and Gil is too damn hard and boring. To good part is playing Street Fighter 2: The Anniversary Edition and having Street Fighter 2: The Animated Movie on here. But here's the bad part.Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike. Don't even bother playing Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike.it sucks.
