This pad is better than any other pad I've used (I have used 3 other types). If you are willing to replace them every now and then, don't mind a little slipping (less than others), and don't like the other pads for whatever reasons, get these. That being said, this pad breaks fairly often with intense use (I've gone through about 4 myself with about a year of intense play) and it does slip a little. I slips less than others with a similar form and doesn't feel weird like the thick foam ones. Also, it picks up most stomps, unlick the arcade pads (the ones I've used were inset, so my foot would get caught about a centimeter above the arrows sometimes). they are usually priced cheap too.
