this is made from sony so it is amazing for the slim ps2 not "original ps2 compatibile"-that is terrible isnt.
Although, it doesn't work with all games. My son loves this when his friends come over. It's great to have, so more than 2 people can play a ps2 game. You need to have games where more than 2 players are an option.
This is the "slim" multitap, compatible with the SCPH-7xxxx series slim PlayStation 2 consoles. It is NOT compatible with the older "fat" PlayStation 2 consoles (SCPH-1xxxx, SCPH-3xxxx, and SCPH-5xxxx).Since the slim PS2 has a different form factor, it is incompatible with the PlayStation 1 Multitap, so the new PlayStation 2 Multitap was also designed to be compatible with PS1 games. The original PS2 Multitap still will not work for PS1 games.
This multitap for the PS2 worked great. The thing is that this version of the multitap will only work for the 70000 series PS2's (the PS2 slim) and is not compatible with the 30000 and 50000 series. Be sure to check your PS2 for the correct series number and purchase accordingly.
I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get this working on the first try, especially because I had several wireless controllers hooked up to it as well, but I was able to plug it in and get it up and running in less than 2 minutes. We played ATV3 and it was very fun with 4 players. I definitely recommend this to others.
