Editorial Reviews:

It's time to return to Liberty City, the town where all the rules were broken as Grand Theft Auto 3 revolutionized gaming and made the GTA series the biggest franchise on the planet. The PlayStation Portable edition is an all-new game set in the seedy, sprawling underworld of Liberty City. Just when you thought San Andreas was all you needed in your gaming life, Rockstar today announced that it is working on a brand new Grand Theft Auto title for the PSP. As youd expect from the highly secretive Rockstar, little is known about this latest in the GTA series except that it will take place in the streets of Liberty City (from GTA III) and that it is being developed by Rockstar Leeds. What you can be sure of, is that with the power of Sonys sexy new portable behind it, GTA on PSP wont be just a rehash of the 1997 original.

User Comments about the Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories

Be careful if you drive after playing this game. It may effect how you drive. Intense action and very cool graphics.

My 16 year old son has been allowed to play it, but it's not really appropriate for younger kids. I bought this game to play on my PSP. It has bad language and you can kill people. I highly recommend this game for anyone mature enough for the situations and language. It has great music, you can be a bad guy and not get caught, and the game has sounds and sights like real life. It is the most awesome game. I have been having so much fun with the game that my kids all want to play it too. I can't wait to buy some of the other Grand Theft games.

But that's not because the game is on psp(Rockstar Games are to blame)-don't blame the great console. The good thing is that the graphics are awesome, there is no difference between this and ps2 GTA games. There were multible times when people said that this game isn't finished, has many bugs and that the controls are horrible. All of this is wrong.

Also, the game features almost everything that GTA games usually offer(Vice City stories offer more) and all that stuff is easy to find around Liberty City and enjoy. Plus, the game's story(though just a "bonus package" to GTA3) is quite interesting and funny. You can't crouch in this game, you can't block enemy's punches and you can't grab onto things. I've played it and I have my opoinion.

That's definetely bad. Liberty City Stories have some good music and, by the way, it is a long game, packed with lots of stuff for GTA enthusiasts.

Great game, similar to all the other GTA franchise. However, I'm reviewing this game 2, 3 years after I bought it so it was actually something cool during that time. The characters were both too powerful. Great story, same game play mechanics as the other GTA's, Cool missions. Multiplayer wasn't as great as it should be. For now, just save your money and buy GTA 4 for the PS3 or Xbox 360.

Maybe it's just that I don't like the size of the PSP display, or maybe the tiny joysticks are too hard to control, or maybe I'm just getting too old, but the game bored me and I didn't play it for very long. I am an avid fan of Playstation 2 Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, and San Andreas, and have played all of them in their entirety. I really think this one is lame. I think I wasted my money on this one.
