Ok, sure, there are repetitions, but some gameplay styles you get to play 3 times over the whole course. has some kinda sickengly impressive feeling to it. They vomit, spit blood all over the place. It seems that everybody loved the guy for some reason, expect for the killer maybe, the one who goes "THE WARRIORS.
So while I was looking for a desperate, hopeless-seeming kind of escape/hunt story, it was really tiny in comparison to the whole thing. Probably because beating up people is done so realistically. But regarding the amount of people on screen, it never slows down. THE WARRIORS always starts at their hangout, you can, well, hang out there, do some muscle training, and to outside, roam around Warriors-Territory. Reactions on your commands are effective, you never feel like they're not doing as told.Graphics are great, just not THAT beautiful. You can do some dealer-missions (helping them or whatever) and stuff, for example to get the ability to carry one more healing drug with you. It's like 8 vs. IT WAS THE WARRIORS.", infecting others with this idea.
Some I loved, by the end I thought it's a pity it only happened so two times or whatever. Actually, I wanted to finish the game first. Those sections are called "Flashback missions". I did so just a few days ago.For those who don't know the story of the movie: a HUUGE meeting with all the gang members of Manhattan goes chaotic when the guy who called for them (charismatic leader of the most respected gang) gets killed by a gun bullet, even though everyone was forbidden to go there weaponed. Feels very realistic, all in all.
Even every sub-mission. You can command your people to hide, beat everyone up, destroy everything in sight (gaining points), hold back and wait or spread out. It's kinda hard to describe but in comparison to MANHUNT, every mission here feels very different. When they're KO, they do not just fall to the ground, they crawl some feet during which you can keep kicking them (gaining points). 60'000.
I haven't seen THE WARRIORS, the movie, yet. The game starts way before that point when another guy called Rembrandt is joining the Warriors. watching 8 guys kicking into a guy (or woman). But it's waiting in my shelf. And hey, it's Rockstar, they like depravity and sick stuff, gritty places and the darker, violant side of humanity. By the end of the game, you can choose the missions and replay them, finish some more secondary missions like spraying the "W" logo wherever you can.Except for "State of emergency" and "Red dead revolver" I've played every single Rockstar game so far. From then on, they're all trying to get revenge on one of the gangs called "the warriors" who have to find a way to get back to their territory, all the way throught areas stuffed with angry, bloody violant gang members who just want you dead.
There are two huge missions in there though that never seem to end. Most important thing you gotta know is, that the movie section is extremly short. Manhunt was tough and hard to look at, but I felt more disturbed with THE WARRIORS. This feels like a little GTA, but really little. Before you get to play the movie section you will learn what kind of conflicts are there between the warriors and some of the gangs, as well as how The Warriors were born. Best thing to me was the fact that there's really a lot of variety. A bit smaery/oily sometimes.
you can replay missions after you beat them. you can create your own gang. great story and graphics. this game is a must have. there are 365 characters you can be. great fighting. great music.
you can make up your own fights. you can free roam after you beat the game. sounds good right well it gets better. in the end just get this game and see for your self.
After the 70's cult classic, Rockstar has done it again. And please, do yourself a favor if haven't seen the movie. This is a 7, 8, 9 or 10 thumbs up game. A very entertaining and aggresive game, not suited for kids, but a delight for the not so kids who have enjoyed the film during this last 25 years.To be honest, I'm a very big fan of Rockstar Games, and bought The Warriors after reading nothing about it. I was hooked right away by the trama and development of the game, and right away bought both films (the latest Directors Cut, and the original film), and have had tons of fun playing the game and watching over and over again the movies. Go and rent it, or better, buy a copy.
It makes the game all that much better. If it ever happened i could see myself easily getting the sequel to this. The situation can get kind of thick. They pick up weapons and use them on your adversary and also you can join up with them on one person and do a special combo move. I found that my concerns were not even necessary.
You'll be heading out the door or online to pick up this game that should not be missed. But hopefully after reading all this. You use whatever force is necessary. Its not hard to do just requires a semi steady hand. I doubt it will happen but that's how much i enjoyed the game. Steal car radio's or break into any one of various stores littered around the city. Happy gaming and "come out to play."
It's pretty much game over. Also by helping people around town you will unlock new things as well. Although the game is quite violent. It's not something that you can run through in one sitting (well i guess you could). If everyone in your gang has been arrested. It was more than justified.
People don't want crappy video games that tie into a movie, QUALITY is the key word this what the Warriors is. You'll be able to recognize them by the icon over their head (that) and they'll running to get to the pay phone. But you would miss out on so many things going in the game little extras and side stories to play as well. While in the Warriors hangout you can work on your combo moves and pull ups which help increase your abilites a bit. I loved how it ties into the movie.letting you know what happened leading up to the movie. That is even more violent than the normal moves that are at your disposal. Later on in the game you'll be able to buy things like keys to handcuffs and things like that.
I felt that the Warriors with the circumstances they were in. But keep in mind while doing this that some people take offense to this and try to call the police. Its something different to do when your not doing story mode or trying to get everything you can in previously played levels. I enjoyed the little things like unlocking new options in different modes being able to play multiplayer things like King of the Hill which is one of my favorite things in that mode.
Different weapons, better abilities and things of that nature. The Warriors is a welcome addition to my Xbox lineup and its current price that just makes it that much better. Being able to form your gang to pick and choose from the various gangs in the game. I found many things good about this game.
Also there is tagging which i doubt needs to be explained. I had my doubts about this game but after going through this and beating it (unlocking a mode to play as well). Having teammates really helps you get out of jams when the action gets thick. Basically claiming that as your own. This is how things should be done.
I mean you have all these gangs chasing you, trying to run you down (literally) and kill you. You get money by either robbing people on the street which has its own little technique as well. On a level or two there will be other things coming at you while your doing this. This is how a movie made into a video game should so others out there take note. So cut them before that because once the police are called.
You basically buy cans of paint and go around different areas tagging the other gangs areas. If you get arrested however your gang members will come to your rescue and free you provided they havent been arrested. I could write a lot about the game.
If they were still selling this for $50 it still would be worth it. I fell in love with this game from start to finish. I bought this game the day it came out never even seeing the old film it's based on. I am pleased that I payed $50 for this because it's damn well worth it. ROCKSTAR, I'M BEGGING YOU, PLEASE MAKE A SEQUEL TO THIS MASTERPIECE FIGHTING GAME.
