Controls are good but base design is lacking. Suction cups will not hold controls securely to surface and will require additional restraint in order to use control effectively.
The racing wheel was fun to use at first,but it takes awhile to get a feel for it.It was a little hard for me to turn the wheel,but i got used to it.The only good place to use it is the living room where there is probably a table in front of the tv.Otherwise you have to move a table back and forth after your done with it.If you use a small portable table it would have to be a heavy one otherwise it would shake and move a lot when you turn.I didn't have time or space in my room for a big table so i had to have my brother hold the wheel down for me on a small movable table so it wouldn't unattach its self and so the table wouldn't move.I didn't have a problem with the wheel it was that there wasn't any good place use it.
Overall, it works fine. My 10yr old loves this steering wheel. 2) Got to get something to place the steering wheel on or else it will not be stable when you're using it. We used a large thick book as a table base. He uses it with his PS2 and Gran Tourismo 4 game. Then it worked fine again. He says it's helping him learn how to drive when he gets his license.
I opened the back and glued a broken plastic holder piece in place. The two issues I've noted are 1) The pedals are not that durable. Ha. My son stomped his foot on the brake pedal and broke it the first day. My son's having fun and hasn't broken it, yet.
It's probably not the highest quality, but it's sturdier and better to control than I expected. I bought this on cyber monday when Amazon had it's big video game sale. never having had a racing wheel before, I think it's pretty good. The default settings are a bit wonky, but the manual does tell you how to adjust it. I figured I'd risk the chance of it being terrible. It was hard to argue with a driving wheel for the price, even with only one review on Amazon. I was not disappointed. I found adjusting the steering angle restriction up a few notches helped considerably.
I cant wait to buy Gran Turismo and give it a try on that. I'd say it's worth the buy. I got the Cobra TT Racing Wheel but for my PS2 and it makes Racing Games a whole lot more interesting. It takes it straight to a whole NEW level.
It's priced cheap too. Only $40 bucks at my local Walmart. Its kinda hard to find a place to mount the steering wheel especially if you're gonna be sitting on the couch while playing. I tried it on R:Racing Evolution and it works good.
But just find one of those TV trays at IKEA or something and mount it to that while you play. :D
