Have not used the car adapter yet but assume it will work fine.

the docking station is like my camera dock and works fine.
Only one complaint, the case has no strap to hold your DS in the case while open, so you have to use care when opening it.
this does not seem to have any impact on game functionality.
The case will also hold the headphones and a few games for the road seperate from the larger game case which is able to hold several, both ds and gameboy advance games.
Otherwise everything is just as described.
The headphones work well but do not seat completely into the headphone jack.
Shipping brought the item total to 24.00.
