User Comments about the Nintendo DS Nintendogs Dachshund & Friends

This game goes to the dogs. I got this for my new Nintendo DS and I also got Carnival Games. I'd say ages for this is all ages. I rate this 2 paws up by a mile. I have a white Golden Retriever that I named Niko. You can walk him, shop, play fetch, pop bubbles, enter competitions, feed him, pet him, and many other things. It is amazing how these people came up with how you use the microphone to talk to your dog.

It is very well made, as I can't have a puppy cause I'm allergic but you almost feel like you have one in this game, they make it so realistic. It's so funny and cute whenever you call your dog's name he barks. You can use the microphone for naming the dog, teaching him commands and tricks, and also for praising him. So Cute. 5 Stars.

You can enter competitions with your dog if you have trained enough, go on walks, meet new friends, and play with toys. Nintendogs games have a lot of activities to participate in. The graphics are amazing, and you can have lots of fun playing with your puppy. It might not be worth 25$ though.

I hear that there are other breeds you can unlock as well.Cons: If you choose a somewhat difficult name for your puppy that isn't clear with lots of vowels, it will take forever to get them trained to respond to their name. This was my first game for Nintendo DS. There are many different types of puppies to purchase with various personalities and appearances. By accident, I unlocked the Yorkie breed (not originally included in the game) during a walk with my Shih Tzu. It is a very simple game that allows you to choose a puppy to purchase, train, care for, and play with. The competitions keep the game "fresh" and fun. Using voice commands, you train your puppy to do various tricks that can be tested in an obedience challenge.

You can own multiple dogs and they are all very uniquely designed. If your puppy places in a contest, you win $$$. Also, you can train your puppy for frisbee and agility trials-- my favorite. With the $$$ you can buy basic care items and accessories for your pup, as well as upgrade the home your puppy lives in, wow.Pros: Extremely easy to use and follow. Using the voice command feature took a lot of practice because you have to maintain the exact same tone or the pup will not recognize the command.

Hope I helped. Let me tell you that this game isn't easy- you have to constantly bathe, give water to, feed, walk, and play with your dogs. I'm having a lot of fun again, and I'm only going to stay with Teenie- if I don't, it will be too much work. I got this game for Christmas a year ago, and I loved it then.

After a while, it just got too tiring. I was really saving up for that beach house, but I forgot about my beach house dream, and stopped going on. I played it every day, and had six dogs- Goldie, Cocoa, Honey, Charles, Blackie, and Max. So I reset the game (which was very hard for me, since I'd grown attached to these virtual dogs) and chose a new puppy, a red dachshund named Teenie. But overall, it's a very fun game, if you're a responsible person.

Even after I fed, gave water to, and bathed all my dogs, they were still low on energy, and I didn't have time to walk them all. Finally, yesterday, I went on again. I kept switiching my dogs in and out of the dog hotel, taking them on walks (which took at least twenty minutes, maybe more, because my dogs had a large stamina from me walking them so much), playing with them, doing contests, e.t.c. I felt horrible. I'd re-get it in a heartbeat if my game disappeard.

I don't know why she has to buy all three because you can only have one if you want to because you can buy all the breeds once you get enough trainer points.I also finally figured out how to walk your dog for a long distance. There is the meter thingy and it shows you how much energy your dog has and if it's meter runs down quickly that means that your dog is tired or depressed. I love playing it on my friends ds because I can't get on until my birthday. Nintendo DS Nintendogs Dachshund & Friends This is my favorite nintendo ds game ever. My friend has lab and friends dalmatian and friends and dachshund and friends. Overall I love this game as I said before.I have a mini dachshund that looks just like the dachshund on the cover, and her name is maggie I love all the dog breeds on the game and hopefully I can get this game for my birthday until then I'll just keep on playing my friend's ds.
