This is made to fit the original PSP. It DOES NOT fit the newer version (PSP slim). Would have been nice to know this before purchasing.
Oh well, it was a good thought, but the comfort of the grips make up for that minor flaw. The only problem is that it's not an "actual" external battery. This item is great for long-term use, especially with fighting games. Instead you can plug it into the hand-held instead of your PSP. Other than that, I'm totally satisfied.
If someone figures out how to charge it, can you tell me. There's very poorly translated bare bones instructions and no adapter for charging the battery. This thing belongs in the 50 cent bin in a flea market in rural china. EDIT: I found the charger input. Too bad the 'rechargeable' part is a total lie. The packaging is terrible. I just got this and could not have been more disappointed. It's not in the directions, nor is it marked, but it's there on the side.
But the grip is good and if it can provide 30-60 minutes of fun once or twice when I am stuck with an uncharged PSP, I'll be happy. I hope I can get my money back. The one redeeming quality is that the grip is pretty good and fairly secure and feels almost like a regular playstation console controller (which is much more ergonomic than holding the PSP). Save yours for something better. Still, surprised and disappointed to get something off Amazon this poorly packaged.
El agarre del psp pasa a ser algo muy comodo, además ayuda a extender la duración de la pila. excelente producto, recomendado 100%. saludos.
worked great for Mom.but was destroyed by my 12 year old in about 30 min. She broke the pins off that hold it in place when she was trying to change the games. The extended battery option was GREAT.
