However, it does allow the two buttons to be more defined and less prone to accidently hitting the wrong button.I have not tried the headset input, so I can't comment on that. But these are extremely good, it's definitely a big plus sign so you can hit the buttons. My only complaint with it would be that the bumpers and the triggers are too far apart. Of course, any D-Pad is probably better than the original 360 ones. I was looking for a wired 360 controller for use with an xbox 360 as well as a Mac and Windows.
It was well worth it.It obviously worked right away for the xbox 360. (Had to download both from different websites).Controller wise, this thing is great. The store ran out of original controllers (which cost $40) and only had these for $25. You can actually click the diagonal with ease. I would of preferred if the distance were more close, similar to the original 360 controller.
They never really felt like anything other than a few clickers on the original controllers, but the MadCatz one makes them big and provides a satisfying click. The D-Pad is also vastly superior to the original controllers. The triggers are much more concave than the original Microsoft controllers, which is how a trigger should feel. For the computer, it was perfectly recognized as a MadCatz GamePad and worked with the XBOX 360 drivers for Windows and for Mac OS X. Also, the bumper buttons actually FEEL like buttons. This isn't really much of a problem, except it made playing Castle Crashers slightly annoying since the triggers and the bumpers are both used and switched off quickly.
the controllers i got were black instead of the white ones that were pictured. but they still worked regardless of color. an excellent controler for the price.
I can't believe how poor their support service is that their first diagnostic to my question was assuming that the controller must be replaced. In the other hand, and the weirdest thing of all, this controller works with no problem on the pc. I bought this controller just for use it on the 360, but, every time I pluged it in, the 4 lights in the controller guide button started to blink. After that, the 360 doesn't detect the controller at all. When I send an e-mail asking madcatz about the problem (I guess that perhaps it was some mistake from my part) they didn't answer my question, instead, they send me an e-mail telling me to return my controller to them. I was really excited with this controller, but now, I realized that buying an original 360 controller for just a few more dollars would be the best choice.
Playing more sensitive games like Crackdown, Gears of War, and Forza 2, the left analog stick starts going crazy, getting stuck in one direction. This controller works great for some games, but absolutely horribly for others. Playing Puzzle Fighter HD, this controller is not noticeably different from the microsoft controller. I've had two of these controllers and treat my electronics very well, so I doubt it is my fault.
Fast shipping and the price was nice and cheap. Controller works great. does what it has to do. Thanks
