Editorial Reviews:

The layout of PlayStation2's Dual Shock 2 controller is nearly identical to that of the original PlayStation's Dual Shock controller. The main new feature is that, when the buttons are pushed, the controller can register how much pressure is being exerted. This adds a completely new dimension to sports, racing, fighting, and more games. Aside from the Start and Select buttons, all of the functions are analog for greater control, a wider variety of operations. Two convex analog thumb pads and two force-feedback solenoid rumblers round out the features. This controller is also compatible with all software that supports the original Dual Shock controller.

User Comments about the AX-PS2 DUAL SHOCK BK (SIM)CLAM

I would reccomend this controller for sure since it workss just as well and will save you a little money in the process. The analog works perfect too. Well there really isn't much to say except the controller works great just as advertised and just as a regualr PS2 controller would. And the best part is it's much cheaper then an actual PS2 controller. I havev't had any problems with this controller since I purchased it.

This one only lasted about two weeks before it died. Well, it was worth the penny. it wasn't worth the $7 to ship it, though. Not a good one if you're a gamer (stick with Sony brand).

If you've got the money, I recommend buying the name brand Dual Shock 2 controller. Usually, I won't buy off-brand controllers, namely because I've had alot of bad luck with them in the past. It's a shame that the buttons weren't marked, but I only paid 5 dollars for it, so I'm not complaining. Besides, it's easy enough to mark them yourself.However. But I needed another PS2 controller so I could play a game with my bros. And lastly, you have to apply a slight bit more thumb pressure to the buttons to get a reaction out of them.Overall: I'm happy with my purchase of this controller. I was short on money and couldn't afford to buy the name-brand PS2 Dual Shock controller that I needed, so I began searching for a cheaper one.I'm happy to say that my purchase of this controller is not one that I regret.

But it's not that bad, I just used some leftover labels for a blank VHS to mark them, but if you dont have those, a pen and some masking tape will do. The triangle, circle, X, and square buttons aren't marked. The controll looks, feels, and plays exactly the same as an ordinary Dual Shock 2 controller. However, this controller is not without it's down sides, the cord is about a foot shorter than the one on the Dual Shock 2. I had to label them myself so I would know what buttons to press. This controller is fine if you're short on cash, but if you've got the money you're better of buying the Dual Shock 2 for it's extra cord length.Note: Dont bother trying to mark the buttons using a permanant marker, it wont work.
