The eyes glow brightly back into your eyes if you hold it at the right angle (which is weird at first) and there is a red light in the mouth the lights when you press the B button. The D pad and both thumb pads work just fine. As a decoration or novelty, the dragon controller is #1. I loved the experience of playing my xbox with the dragon the first time I used it. The non-smooth hand grips are weird at first but after awhile, I enjoyed the difference of the experience. I tried going online to find the other Freaks series controllers but was disappointed that others pictured on the box seem not available. The Alien or the Fleshy one seem attractive to me (in a goulish way) but they came up on the internet made for the PS2.
If I was playing a game that demanded heavy fast button action, I'd switch to a normal controller. Since I am used to the "official" controllers that have pretty fast and smooth A, B, X, Y buttons, I wouldn't call the buttons on this fast nor smooth but they work just fine. I just felt that I had to press the A button down a little more firmly to get it to activate. Have Fun with the Dragon.
My sons love this Xbox Dragon Controller. It makes playing the Xbox system more fun to play. If your kids love Dragons, this is a must buy.
