Designed to take care of your everyday keyboarding requirements, the Eclipse Keyboard from Saitek is an excellent keyboard that is ideal for use in any lighting condition - from daylight to total darkness. This keyboard features 104 silver keys. Also, these keys incorporate TrueVu illumination that lets the red lighting glow through each key - making it possible to read the keys in the dark. A zero-slope design and adjustable wrist rest ensure enhanced comfort and stress-free typing. The Eclipse keyboard also includes a host of other features such as USB connectivity and a sleek black finish.

User Comments about the Saitek Eclipse Backlit Keyboard - Red LED ( PZ30AUR )

For sure the Red is better than the blue. I definitely think this is a good keyboard for those who want an awesome illuminated keyboard, but don't really want to spend lots of money. The keys are easy to type with and the glow is just right. I recommend it :) Works fine for me and I do a lot of writing.

It has a great soft feel key action that is really easy to type with. I have had mine about a year now and it still works great. The only negative is the incline is too low. I would recommend this to anyone.

I also hate the average modern keyboards having piles of useless specialized buttons that I'll never use, so I'm a bit of a minimalist--but this keyboard is just perfect; the volume buttons in the top right corner are relatively useful, and are out of the way, so I don't mind them too much. The only gripe I have with this keyboard, is that the silver paint on the keys is starting to flake off a little bit. I bought this keyboard nearing on a year ago, and I still love it. I was going for a black silver and red motif for my new computer, and this fit in absolutely perfectly. The keys are smooth and quiet, and the red backlight however useless since I type by touch, gives the aesthetic appeal that I wanted. Otherwise, I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

I bought the one with blue lighting and it is hard to read some of the keys. It looks really good in dim light. If you like your computer space brightly lit, you probably don't need this. Maybe I should have gotten red.

That is the main reason I bought this board, and it is even more useful than I thought. Honestly, who would rather play games with the lights on. I'm using this keyboard right now. I've had it for a year or so, and I love it.

I've bought two keyboards in the time I've had this, and both times switched immediately back to the Saitek. I'm going to buy another one for my second PC. For me, this is a perfect keyboard with nice key action and simple design. As some reviewers said, there are no media controls, but if you're like me, you prefer to not have them because they're just extra buttons that get in the way.

As for the backlighting, i don't think I'll buy another keyboard in the future if it doesn't have backlighting. I hope this review helped, cheers.
