Editorial Reviews:

The Intercooler 360 is a high efficiency, snap-on cooling device Xbox 360. It increases air flow and provides extended life and reliability. Using 3 fans, the Intercooler 360 reduces heat to promote better performance from your favorite gaming system. The compact, cooling device snaps onto the back of the console, fits in entertainment centers with the 360 in a horizontal or vertical position, and turns on and off automatically in conjunction with the 360.

User Comments about the Xbox 360 Nyko Intercooler

Luckily as far as I can tell it didn't do any noticeable long lasting damage.

Seemed to work fine at first, just made the whole thing louder.

Hopefully it will still last awhile when I give it to my brother.

A couple months later though, I started receiving an error relatively frequently on startup.

I took it off my old Xbox, and it worked great again.

I thought the Xbox was going bad.

It wasn't the Red Ring of Death, but an error nonetheless, along with a wierd moaning whirring coming from the Xbox.

I started looking for another one of these for my new Elite, and came across all the other reviews about this bad product.

It's definitely not worth the risk.

However a very bad side effect is that it builds up moisture. It does not allow all the hot air to leave, so it gets trapped and evaporates. My Story: I purchased this item thinking it would help cool down my XBOX 360. After about a week I experienced the "red ring". This product is meant to cool down your Xbox 360. It was noticeably cooler in my room. I researched a little bit and found that people had been having the same problem. However, from what I have heard not everyone has this problem.

When my xbox is on it heats my room up about 10 degrees. Moisture is, as you can imagine, VERY bad for electronic devices. At first it worked. So, in conclusion, I suggest you stay away from this, but if you want to take your chances, I can not guarantee this will not work for this.

I had to use a hammer and pliers to get the damn thing off. i bought the intercooler when reports started coming out about the RROD issue. it took a couple of the little plastic thingys that cover the prongs with it. wrong. I figured any way of keeping my machine cool was better than having to send it in, right. it attaches to the 360 shoddily and a power arc between the power outlet on the back of the 360 and the intercooler fused the intercooler to the back of my system. I've also read reports that the intercooler actually CAUSES the RROD issue because it draws too much power away from the system.

Hey, I had 5 (five) 3RROD (the three red rings every one complains about) and I know many other people among friends and relatives who had at least 1 console die on them.I got two of the new consoles now which are much quieter than they used to be.

There is not much to say about it.

Unfortunately with the intercooler, it makes it louder all over again.

There are three fans and it helps remove the heat the Xbox 360 packs.

It's a welcome fix for a bad design of the console.

The only problem is it will make it much louder.

So, it does the job.

Fans are noisy but I guess that's the price you pay.

Oh well.

After I installed this cooler I can play videos fine and haven't seen a frozen game screen since. My only downside to this cooler is that it makes pulling out the power plug a lot harder. I bought this cooler at a local retail store and have been using this fan with my Xbox 360, bought when they first came out, and I have no problems what-so-ever. Just wanted to toss in my two cents. Before I bought this cooler my 360 would get hot enough to skip while playing videos and sometimes games would freeze. This could be annoying when you travel a lot.
