User Comments about the Monster House

or Kirby, where you either go left or right and the game scrolls as you go, you view everything from the side. My 2 nephews, 7 & 8 years old tried out this game and they gave up within 20 minutes. This isn't like them at all. (like Super Mario bros or any other game where you control the player in a side view). I gave it 2 stars for the game overall due to the graphics and colors, they were pretty good.

This is NOT a scrolling game. I loved Super Mario Bros., Kirby, Yoshi's Island and it's similar games. This is merely my opinion. This is like a mystery game where you need to find objects around the room and there is plenty of talking between the kids in between. But this game is viewed from the top looking down at the players' heads (almost) going through the house like a map. First of all, I expected Monster House Gameboy Advance game to be in 3D platform. It reminds me of Zelda (of the old classic game) where you view a room at a time and try to remember where you are at when you leave the room and explore as you go.

I hated it. Said they didn't care for it. I prefer the ones like Super Mario Bros. But I got lost easily and got tired of exploring the room after 2 rooms.

(if I'm explaining it correctly)I gave it a fair try. If you do not have a sense of direction, this isn't for you. I went into the house and explored around the room, I'm supposed to find objects around the house. This game is great for those who like mysteries, exploring, top-viewing of the game, and maps.
