it's holding up fine. this one is wired. this controller works fine i opted for this one because i read bad reviews about the wireless one. it seems built kink of cheap, but i havent had any problems with it and i bought it used. i would say it's definately worth the money.
I have owned them all for Guitar Hero and Rockband Series games for the PS2 and PS3. The Red Octane SG Guitar is the one I always come back to and now always play. Its light, comfortable and the strum bar feels just clickity right.
My friend has a wireless frontman controller and I can barely play using that. I got this controller a few years back packaged with my copy of Guitar Hero II (it was the red one, but still the same controller). Everything is so loose feeling and I feel like my hands are flailing around all over the neck. But on this guitar my hands are always where they need to be and never slip. This is best feeling guitar controller I've had in my hands. I have yet to change controllers now that I own Guitar Hero, Guitar Rock the 80s, Guitar Hero III, and now Guitar Hero Aerosmith. Sure it may be wired and not as fancy pantsy as those new wireless controllers coming out, but it feels so great and everything is so tight feeling. Overall, this is the best Guitar Hero guitar out there.
This was a good product, but not my daughter's favorite- and she is a whiz at GH.
If you're going to purchase any GH controller, make it this one. I had a wireless controller as my second controller before and it was horrible.had sticky buttons, batteries died fast, and it had slow response. I like this controller because its wired. I sold the wireless and bought this controller because I know they old ones never have problems.the buttons don't stick, star power works great, immediate response, etc. You won't be disappointed.
