User Comments about the Excite Truck

The turning of the wii remote is a bit different than turning a steering wheel but can be mastered. We have had this game for about a year. It is incredibly fun and addictive. It is also extremely gratifying to occasionally beat my "gamer" son. I don't usually play console games because my button pushing coordination level is about 0. It is a lot of fun for this 43 year old Mom. This game, like other wii games, has limited button pushing and more closely RESEMBLES actual driving. Your advantage: practice at night a few times when he has to go to bed.

It's fun with the wii-mote, but I highly recommend the wheel for an even more interactive experience. Man were my kids jealous. My husband bought me Wii Excite Truck and a Wii Wheel for Christmas. This game is so much fun. I can't wait to get MarioKart and an extra wheel and go head-to-head with my husband, who always whines that I won't let him use my wheel when we play now.

He tended to press the wrong buttons at first but after about 1/2 hour he got the hang of it. After some initial shipping problems where the local post office forgot where we lived I got the game in time to take to my nephew for his 7th birthday. The only thing we( his mum and dad and I )could not figure out, not even after I read the instructions ( I'm an engineer and a computer geek) was how to race two trucks side by side. I left early but was told later that he played with it for 3 straight hours then it was bedtime. We skipped some of the training sessions and just ran the game. He was a little frustrated at first, as he tried to master the training sessions, but with a little help from his Dad he figured it out. He picked up how to steer very quickly and it was great fun for him. His 4 year old brother did not have the finesse yet to drive it though.

He had been quickly bored with my Wii games. He loves it because I have a wheel, and he can steer it like the games at an arcade (Pizza place, bowling alley). The game allows you to keep going and even awards points for good crashes. My grandson is 4 YEARS 7 MONTHS. No problem. In other words, he loves it because he can have fun playing, without having a clue what he is doing. It's a great game for youngsters.

He loves it because there are no rules. He loves the Wii Excite. He can constantly crash into trees, go off cliffs, and sink in water. It's also fun for anyone else that likes truck racing games.

Not to be missed if you have a Wii. My sister, who hates games, loves playing Excite Truck with me, her older brother. Excite Truck is hands down the most fun racing "we've" had with the Wii. This game is completely entertaining and accessible enough that anyone can play. I liked it so much that I had rented it almost a year ago, and just recently decided I still wanted to play it.
