User Comments about the Xbox 360 4-in-1 Charging Stand

I bought mine at Best Buy but it is the same item as the one being sold here. If not this device certainly will not hurt your Xbox 360 as long as it is the wall plug version. just quiet. The battery charger is a nice plus but I found the attached batteries do not last long and need to be recharged frequently. The unit holds the Xbox 360 vertically. After reading the other reviews I must first say there are two versions of this on the market, thus the confusion.

Mine is the home outlet version made by madkatz but stamped with a Gameshark logo. I do like the DVD remote control holder that is built into the unit, again it saves me space.

One that runs off of the Xbox 360 power supply via USB and one that runs off your standard home outlet. I do it because it saves me space and after a year of use I have yet to run into any problems with it.

There have been rumors that Microsoft might put out there own cooler. There is debate whether this is the best way to keep the 360.

There are two fans that are used to cool the xbox but they are not especially strong and they are small. I have found the cooler portions strongest point to be that it is quiet, yeah thats about it.

I am not sure if they are actually cooling the unit and I am no expert. My advice would be to wait if you can.

Flashy green stands and the infamous Intercooler can stay on the shelf. I even charge my controllers via my PC. After the problems with the Intercooler, I've been skeptical about drawing power from the 360 to run any external fans. (call me paranoid.).But I found this unit, and it does exactly what I need (cool) without messing with any internal power drain. The charger is an afterthought, but I do like the remote stand. this does what I need and saves my 360 from wear and tear as well.

The batteries though are awesome.

My first complaint (which is a small one at that) is that the fan strength isn't that strong.

For the fan strength, maybe a light breeze is all you need to cool it, what do I know.

Don't take my word for it though; I have no idea how powerful a fan needs to be to cool the bottom part.

Mine came with it and I was actually hoping for a wall charger because it's redundant to cool the 360 when you're just making it do more work.

Also, to the guy who says there is no usb thing I must say.

It's not that loud too.

what.

Great product though.

The stand itself works well enough. Instead it comes with an AC adaptor that must be plugged into a standard wall outlet to provide power. Not only does it not come with a USB cable, it doesn't even have any place to plug in a USB cable. My major complaint with this product is.Every website that sells it (including Mad Catz's website) says that this fan/stand powers through the Xbox 360's rear USB port. This is an out-right LIE. I give it 2 stars since my main reason for purchasing was for the ability to power it from the console and it DOES NOT do that.- Josh
