User Comments about the Silent Hill Origins

Camera views will give you trouble at times, especially when in close quarters combat with an enemy, you may not be able to see where or what you're swinging at, and suffer unnecessary damage in the meantime. The game is fun, it's not too difficult, and the puzzles aren't complex but they still make you think. I've enjoyed the game a great deal, the detective/mystery aspect to it is good and intriguing, the action makes you jump a bit here and there in excitement, and the controls handle well enough. Other than that small and common found problem in many games of this nature, it's a good solid fun game.

I bought this game for my boyfriend as a birthday gift. Thanks. :) The game was in perfect condition and we have yet to have any problems with it. He loved it. He seriously played it everytime he had a spare minute. :)

A brilliant PSP version of the game we all love.I'm stuck hours on it. Can't vouch for it not being bugged yet as I haven't completed the whole game, but so far so good.

and more so in this one due to the fact that there are so many freaking enemies to fight. That in itself is an awesome prospect. 4) It's SILENT HILL and it's PORTABLE. By the time you are getting into the story and characters, it's over. 2) The music and sound effects are up to the standard that this series is famous for. It is a prequel to the original Playstation game and does a good job explaining events and characters from that original game.

And they are way to strong for common enemies. Naturally, SILENT HILL: ORIGINS for the PSP is a must play for fans of the series. It adds to the total experience. 2) The control scheme takes time to get used to. It's a nice addition to your psp library. I've kept up with SILENT HILL series since it debuted on the original Playstation console back in the mid-late nineties. but the only problem is that you can only use them a handful of times before they break and you lose them.

My advice, play with headphones. Despite a few flaws, it has remained a high quality franchise that will always garner attention. It can feel awkward trying to fight monsters, check your map and status, or to change weapons and use items. Now, enough of negative stuff. First I'll focus on some of the things that bother me about this new entry into the series: 1) breakable weapons- There are tons of weapons you can find and use in this game, (everything from katana swords to assault rifles, even televisions.).

3) The story is interesting. 3) Combat is as awkward as it always has been. Let's focus on some positive things: 1)The graphics are pretty good for SILENT HILL and game itself is pretty well put together. Not to mention the fact that health items are so few and far between. Also, your character gets tired so quickly after running for a short time that you'll get frustrated at how SLOW he walks around.

4) The game is way too short. Despite a few flaws, I'd recommend this to SILENT HILL fans.

The puzzles are challenging, but not impossible. The boss monsters are somewhat simply to defeat, but it does not effect or damage the overall gaming experience. I have played and finished about a dozen PSP games, and this may be my number one favorite, if not a very close second. The whole environment draws you into the dark and disturbing nature of the quest.

The only downside is that it is too short. I finished in just over 10 hours. There were even moments when I actually jumped during an unexpected weird scene. It is the only psp game I would consider replaying.

Best played as suggested with headphones and with the lights out. Still, I highly recommend this title to any PSP owner.
