I originally didn't think it worth while to purchase a headset for my skype calls as I just used my Laptops speakers & mic but since the quality was less clear to the recipients due to background noise I ended up buying this one. It's an overall good product, the build and sound quality is good, it fits comfortably and is easy to install.Had I known there was a blue tooth version available before buying I would have opted for it as the wire is a bit frustrating and I sometimes forget I have it on which results in whiplash every time I get up.(easy to forget as its that comfortable). The only minor gripe I have is that you cant easily switch between normal speakers and the headset, it does allow for skype to ring on your normal speakers, but you have to unplug it otherwise. Also if you use sites like [.]. to listen to music you have to close and reopen the browser for it to recognize that the headset was removed. This is not a major issue and I would still recommend it should you not opt for a wireless version.
So that's good. I wear a headset all day some days so I need something comfortable. I do find that the noise and echo cancellation are a little worse than I would hope. People in conferences with me do hear background noise more than I'd like and if I turn up the earphone too far they will hear an echo coming back at themselves. Since I have a hearing loss in some frequencies audio quality is important to me. The mx500i fits that bill. This doesn't have a lot of booming bass that makes me unable to understand people. But it's a good buy overall.
Even if you only use the phone once and awhile and you have a lot of things to do you can wear this headset and do what you have to do and not even know you are wearing it. This is an amazing product and I would recommend it to anyone that uses a non-bluetooth ready phone. This headset is so darn comfortable you can literally wear it all day long and not even know you have it on. This is made for all day phone conversations. You can clean or take care of your baby and answer the phone if it rings at that inop time.
although somehow I wish I could've gotten a wireless device.
Not bad, not bad.
I'll keep this one and not have to hassle with batteries and the like.
As with everything strange that doesn't belong in your body.
(I just hope it never gets too loose with extended use, but hey things break anyway right).Overall I'd recommend it.
Once I keep using it I'm sure I'll get used to it.Cable is a little extra long, which is fine since I can always wrap a little bit near my PC.
Long or extended use at first can start to have an uncomfortable feel.
The microphone swivels a little so you can either use it on your left or right ear and still have the mic pointing to your mouf to blabber into it.
It does a good job and sound is good anyway.
This headset worked even better than I expected. Works well with Skype and also for listening to news reports, etc. The only complaint I have is that it's not wireless, but then I knew that when I bought it. It's comfortable and doesn't interfere with glasses or hair-dos. The sound is clear and I'm told by those on the other end of our VoIP calls, that they can hear me clearly, as well. via the computer without annoying everyone around you.
