There's no documentation anywhere on the package that tells you about this switch and it blends into the black color very well. There's only one issue with this cable - there's a little hard-to-see slider button that selects "HD" vs "TV" - for using it to connect a Wii to an HDTV using component connectors, you have to slide it to "HD" before it will output correctly. When on "TV" you just get black-and-white output. That's the only thing you need to know about this cable - it works for me and it's nice that it's half the price of the manufacturer cables.
Chucking my old ps2 rca cables. Received the package on the scheduled date containing the promised contents. I am thoroughly happy with the purchase. 100% satisfaction.
got this within couple of days and tried it , no problems so far , one can see the difference in the picture quality when using the component cable versus regular composite and for its price this is a good bargain as most other sites tend to charge more for shipping. Note this is only for the xbox and not for the xbox360. Overally happy with this product.
Wii will not work unless i unplug the 360. The product i got only has 3 adapters. This is not what is shown in the picture. I cannot keep the cable plugged into the Wii and the 360 at the same time. Cannot hook up my GC or PS2.
I bought this for a friend, and we successfully used it to connect his Wii, XBOX 360, and PlayStation 2 to the single component input on his HDTV. I assume that it would work for his PS3, but we didn't try it.I would both (1) buy this again and (2) recommend it to a friend. The only downside to it is that the lengths of cable given to actually attach the devices to the cable basically force you to have a small pile of consoles to one side of your TV--one foot each just simply isn't enough.
