User Comments about the Microsoft Xbox - Game Console (Special Edition HALO Version)

Did Nintendo, Sony, or SEGA ever support any of their old systems with NEW games when a new system came out. I never bought another console. A word of advice BUY A SYSTEM WHEN IT IS ***NEW*** IF YOU WANT ***NEW*** GAMES. Are you NUTS. I'm 21 and I'm in college.

When I was little the Super Nintendo was my favorite, then as I matured PC Games became an addiction. Now I own one, that I have moded with Linux X-Box Distro so I can play some PC Games on it as well, and an X-Box 360* (which is also moded with Linux X-Box Distro). Some of the best parts of my life so far have been hanging out with friends and family playing games. Thats six years the system was out when you bought it and you STILL EXPECT M$ to support it.

No. Do you realize that the X-Box has been out since 2001. These are the Nintendo systems of the new millennium. That is until I played an X-Box at my friends house when I was 15.

Great games for any kind of player, easy controls, and they're a blast for multi-player games (which seems like a specialty for X-Box that it does FAR better than the Wii or PS3).To the previous reviewer that said Microsoft hated its customers I say this:You bought your X-Box a month before the X-Box 360* was released. Neither does MS.

It still runs great, even after a year in a college townhouse. It's a good value if all you want to do is play old games. First things first, my initial reaction to reviewer jon "Sam" (MI):"Moron." Imagine that, a company not supporting an obsolete system over a year after their hardware became obsolete.Anyway, with that out of the way, the green Halo Edition X-Box is a good investment, providing you don't care that it's almost completely obsolete. I got mine in Spring '04 and from the time I got it to the time I got the 360 and sold the old one last week, I had absolutely no problems with it. If you want reliability and don't mind not having any new games to play, this console can't be beat.

I bought my original shiny new XBOX and many new games one month after the xbox360 was released. Oh, and then they might get around to backward compatability for a few titles at some point. Only then did I learn that Microsoft would no longer in any way support the original XBOX and after giving to Microsoft my very hard earned dollars for all that stuff, I was now expected to throw it all out and give them more money for an xbox360. I resisted buying this original XBOX because I just knew microsoft would find a way of taking my money and then screwing me. SURPRISE, they did just that. I pray for the day Microsoft goes down in flames and I will NEVER buy an xbox360.
