This time around they have added more tidbits to the major story line. I, for one, will never tire of this type of battle system, as long as the story keeps me playing the game.Replay Value: 1/5Once you complete the game there is no reason to play the game over unless you want to see the whole story over again. You attack, then the monsters attack till one of you dies. Story: 4/5 This game taught me to read and to have patience, that not every minute in a game had to be filled with flash and heart pounding adventures.
Square Enix has added some new beats with the same hauntingly mystic sounds the will follow you into your dreams. Now it has made it's way onto the PSP. the seas rage. In a word WOW. The graphics upgrade on this game is phenomenal. Turn-based attack system.

The winds die. If Square-Enix can remake all the Final Fantasies like this one than I'm going to be a very poor man from buying all those games again. What a difference from the PS1 version of the game.
Final Fantasy had a long story with a turn based battle system. Final Fantasy has been told on the NES, PS1 and GBA. The story in Final Fantasy has been updated many times.
The sunlight flowing through the woods in the Elf village was such a nice touch. I enjoy a good remake and the story was redone enough for me to enjoy it. It was more grown up and fulfilling than those non-thinking games out at the time.
Sound: 3/5 It's hard to update a Final Fantasy music soundtrack that is over 20 years old because it still stands up to the test of time. I recommend this game for everyone that has loved the final fantasy games that appeared after this one, just to see where it all began.

this game brings you back to the roots of it all the final blow before the mighty square would fall to bankrupcy, and as you play you can see why this saved the day. this game is a marvel to play the graphics are great the sprits are vivid its just fun to play, if your a fan of RPG's then this is a must.

This is the first time i've reviewed something on here, and its because i feel the need to clarify where so many have complicated.Basically, if you like final fantasy, aren't sure, can't find a good game for the psp, or wan't to try an rpg out that's guranteed to please, just buy it.i can't stress enough how wonderful this game is and how much it has influenced gamers and developers alike.
just get it.
the story is solid, the action is classic, control is excellent.
the graphics have been re-done as is the sound.
everyone with the system should get this.
and the music will rock your face off.if you have a psp just don't think about it and buy it.
save anytime is great for on the go gaming.
