Editorial Reviews:

From the makers of Far Cry, Crysis offers FPS fans the best-looking, most highly-evolving gameplay, requiring the player to use adaptive tactics and total customization of weapons and armor to survive in dynamic, hostile environments.
Earth, 2019. A team of US scientists makes a frightening discovery on an island in the South China Sea. All contact with the team is lost when the North Korean Government quickly seals off the area. The United States responds by dispatching an elite team of Delta Force Operators to recon the situation. As tension rises between the two nations, a massive alien ship reveals itself in the middle of the island. The ship generates an immense force sphere that freezes a vast portion of the island and drastically alters the global weather system. Now the US and North Korea must join forces to battle the alien menace. With hope rapidly fading, you must fight epic battles through tropical jungle, frozen landscapes, and finally into the heart of the alien ship itself for the ultimate Zero G showdown. Next-generation graphics that define state of the art, with scalable options to deliver solid performance on older machines Choose your own path through the open world of Crysis -- destroying obstacles, driving vehicles from VTOL's to boats and using the environment itself against your enemies Full-featured multiplayer for up to 32 players with real-time armor and weapons customization

User Comments about the Crysis

you definitely need to make sure you have ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS or it is VERY SLOW. other than that i liked it.

I still haven't played online, but it is an awesome single player game. Graphics are incredible.if you have a fast system.

I am the type of gamer that waits a while after things come out so the crinkles get ironed out.I got Crysis on Thursday and can't remember the last time I played a game with such crystal clear graphics. The physics engine is amazing. You can shoot trees, barrels, everything. They act like they really were shot.I would highly recommend this game to anyone who likes a first person shooter and has some free time :-)

I reccomend this shooter to anyone who enjoys intense, suspensful, and heart-pumping action. I played this game on my PC and there are NO problems or glitches at all. The patches that they put out really help and the graphics are intense and amazing. (Make sure you are 17+ unless you have a parent's permission).

Summary: This first-person shooter, like its predecessor, "Far Cry", is based on a "single soldier in a science-fction scenario" plot.Pros:- Graphics are very nice (Note: my PC has an Intel Q6600, lots of RAM and an NVIDIA 8800GT, running Windows XP).- Computer-controlled characters are smarter than those in "Far Cry".- Simulated environment is extremely "open": It's even more "go anyhere, do anything" than "Far Cry".- Simulated objects behave more realistically than before.Cons:- Computer controlled characters still occasionally do stupid things. The bottom line: If you liked "Far Cry", then you will like this game (if you've got the hardware to run it).
