The difference in difficulty from amateur to semi-pro is like going from highschool to the MLS. FIFA 2008 PC is no different from FIFA 2007, except for the updated players and teams for the 2008 season. The gameplay is actually slightly worse in regards to switching players. Not quite on target. There are some exciting new players to choose from like Lulinha and Bojan, but don't bother buying this if you already have FIFA 2007.I would wait till 2009 is out.
Features like chat during game and vote to leave a bad connection game still missing from newers versions. I play FIFA since 1994 and could not stop buying the yearly edition, so, I am not the best to write a review since I never tried other soccer games but also, not willing to do it. I hope to see more in the next edition. AI engine is not that bad, but could be better. I simply love FIFA and since I grew up no much time to meet my folks, the ONLINE is my new tool to get at least 3 matches a day. Players movements could seem a little ridged and shoudl improve. more soccer, lets podcast and others not in-game features.
Love FIFA 08. It gets better every year, this is one of the best versions I have seen so far. Can't wait for 09
It's always better to play it with a gamepad, but the keyboard works fine as well. Well, first, the shipping was excellent. Then, the game's great.
Hard to figure out how to just have a career (i.e. Can't figure out how to upgrade players (It adds XP experience points but doesn't let me spend them). Also, incredibly difficult to figure out how to shoot. Not as good even as 2007. I wish that smart, quality players of real football/soccer would test these games out and sort out a lot of the goofy little problems there are. I.e. I still have no clue how to diliberately aim low.
Too many horns in the crowd, and everyone knows that horns at sporting events are obnoxious. play for Liverpool consecutive years). Defense is worse then previous years since an attacker can virtually waltz through your defense since the tackling is so horrid and the automatic switching makes you take a player you may not have wanted and even if you take the right player he almost always starts out running the wrong direction you want him to. Anyone have some help.
