if you want a simple devise that can do one to three simple easy things, this is perfect, it can also get get more complicated by allow it to do something unique in each application, or use several of them and assign different tasks.
Programmable, etc. Sometimes only a knob will do. This is a good one. Does what is advertises and it's hard to say more.
The griffin powermate is awesome. We use it for peaople to annonce their arrival for appointments. They highlight their name on our list and click to show their arrival.
I have installed the driver for this device on two windows XP workstation Dell computers, and the driver has a run-time error and crashes. I cannot recommend this product.
Wonderful little gadget. I understand how many people can expect a lot from a simple device but, if you understand that it's meant to be used with a mouse rather than a stand alone device then you'll appreciate how useful it can be. Been using it everyday along with my wireless mouse and hardly use a programmable trackpad since then.
