I got the game and I was so happy to see many of the same characters and the same formats. I looked for it with no success. I had paid for and downloaded this game many years back "Hoyle Classic Board & Card Games" but found I lost it when getting a new PC. I was so happy when I stumbled upon this at Fryes Electronics, I could not wait to get on Amazon or half.com to price it. I was disappointed that there was no card games included, but overall, I'm very pleased.
Rummy Squares is also a good one. The "Tile Games" in this edition are a lot of fun. Any "Seniors" out there would enjoy this, but it's also fun for the teenagers. Our 19 year-old grandson enjoyed it so much, I had to order him one, too. What's nice is there are several ways to play them. What we liked the most was the "Slide Tiles." It's very addictive. My recommendation is Go For It.
I have had hours and hours of pleasure with the great assortment of games. This product is absolutely fantastic. I have Microsoft Vista and this was easy to install. I also have the Hoyle cards games and I would recommend this too.
I really wanted this game disc, but am reluctant to make further purchases, since this was a total waste of money. The seller would not respond to my emails or snail mails. The disc was empty so I was unable to install or use it. I also left a bad review with Amazon for the sale. I am bitterly disappointed through no fault of Hoyle.
There are quite a number of bugs in this game. The most noticeable ones are:1) In chess, the game will frequently end on a 3x repetition when this has not occurred (and usually when pounding the computer). Come on - it gave me that once after I captured a piece.2) In pachisi, it is very difficult to move the pieces - it frequently does not register where you have dropped it.3) Many of the Hoyle Bucks goals do not register when they occur. There are other minor irritants, but these three are the major ones.
