User Comments about the Hoyle Card Games 2008

After 2 hands and several player flaws I felt that I had wasted my money on this CD. Spades is our favorite computer game. Hopefully we'll enjoy some of the other games. It does a good job playing the game. We have used Totally Cool Bicycle Card Games for over five years. I bought the Hoyle thinking there might be fewer player flaws than the Bicycle version. Now I'm going to try to find the Bicycle CD that will work on Vista.

that I always have on any computer should I want to have a brief game or two. If you like taking a break from the web occasionally and playing a card game or two, then this is for you. It is the type of basic "staple" program, like Monopoly, Bridge, hearts, solitaire, etc. Hoyle has been doing it for 2 decades now, so they have the graphics and sound down pat; you can listen in to the players or just play it straight up as a game.

I had seen this program on someone else's computer and loved it. However, after I purchased it,I could not get it to download onto my own personal computer. I have the Windows XP program and am very disappointed.

It is pretty bad when you play bridge and by looking at your hand you know the winning bid and the play of the game. Save your money. The same is true for all of the games. However, there are very few variations. The games are fun and work well. The bridge, Blackjack and Solitare all only have maybe a dozen games and then repeats. There has to be something better out there.

Illustrations and animation are exceptional. Ability to create a self image is fun. Drawback is that the player gets lousy cards, especially the Bridge Hands.
