I find that after the first week beginner is too easy, but the next level Basic becomes way too hard, you almost need 4 feet to keep up which becomes very frustrating. It seems no matter what you do you almost always fail. I feel I wasted my money on this one.
I want to know how many IN TOTAL, and don't make me keep track on a piece of paper next to the TV.grr.The songs are pretty disappointing -- WAAAAAAY too many slow songs -- what were they thinking. Still fun to play, pretty good workout.Announcer is 400 million times better than DDR Universe (the bratty girl, "Well, I can't play FOR you.") -- just a happy AA guy, whose taunts are said with very little malice.Still not thrilled with loading times, and (though true of all my DDR iterations except PS2's Konamix version) it STILL doesn't accumulate calories. Only counts them PER SONG -- that is so stupid. And the dance patterns for the "funk" selections are just odd and not even fun. However, the Quest Mode is pretty fun, and I like the outfit options.
I'm 33. Doesn't feel like working out at all, since it's actually a video game. Broke out in a sweat. Bought this game to get some exercise. Lots of fun. I'd get it for the kids, too.
We had so much fun playing this with our friends and family. It is a great way to break the ice and get things moving.
Totally lame. Also beware: 99% of stores will not let you return this $70-90 purchase because it has a game in it. So I played DDR on Wii and thought, hey, what about buying it for my xbox. Now, but a twist of powerade colors in the background, and you've got this game. Lame. It's the same thing, right.Wrong. And they should've stuck to programming.Imagine yourself back in the 90s, with loud beats and screechy voices. The Xbox 360 DDRs are the worse pieces of musical tunes you'll ever hear.
The rest are bad songs made by the programmers of the game. You know, the famous bands you saw on the back of the box. Where the Wii had a bunch of hits you can hear off the radio (kelly clarkson, the killers, etc), this version for XBOX has NONE. Well, that's the only bands you'll know. So you're out the pad AND the game if you hate it, which I did.
