i purchased 4 new singstar games to have for a get together with friends later this months and so far i think this one will be the most fun to play. now i many have only been born in 1986 but i sure do remember growning up listening to these songs. i knew i was familiar with a few of them when i purchased it but just now recieveing it and then popping it in my ps2 to see how the songs were, i realized i know about 98% of the songs and thats REALLY good because not only are they extremely fun 80's songs but that means i dont have to learn the lyrics to a bunch since i already know them. this is definitely a game worth purchasing.
I luv this game and all the fun songs on it. If you just wanna sing by yourself or in front of a crowd. It is a fun way to make your voice shine plus sing some of your favorite songs.
I didn't think I'd like this one until I went to that website and looked at the songs/videos. If you'd like a list of songs (and previews) you can go to the playstation website, you can see all the different SingStar games. I love SingStar, it's such a fun game. It's great. I think every one should get this game, it rocks.
However, karaoke lovers be warned, the microphones on these two games are NOT compatible. I especially love how you get to watch the original music videos while you sing along, which in this case really is hysterical, I mean c'mon. Soooooo much fun. SingStar requires it's own microphone, and so does American Idol. these videos alone are GOLD. Okay, yes, I am a child of the 80's, but I think anyone would enjoy these songs. no videos, lots more judging. That is my only complaint because you end up with all sorts of microphones cluttering up space.
Playstation should streamline all karaoke games to use the same microphone. My girls, who are 9 and 11, find them absolutely hilarious. Duran Duran, Twisted Sister, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper. We have American Idol too, which is also a lot of fun, but different. Other than that we LOVE this game.
Some songs have been remade by new artist that my kids do know.
My husband recently bought me this 80's Sing-Star game for my kids PlayStation 2.
Like the song "Kids of America" was remade by a new singing group of this year called "The Josins Brothers" I could be wrong.
The Kids always get games, Me or my husband never do.
My boys are still young they have no idea who some of these artist are.
I love the 80's its the music i remember most from High School.
So we thought this might be fun.
It's just lots of fun.
Never the less we are all able to have so much fun with this game.
