Editorial Reviews:

Discover the beauty of the sea and take part in various activities such as swimming, exploring marine life or cataloguing tropical fish with this new Touch! Generations title. The beauty of Endless Ocean is that you can do as much or as little as you like. The relaxed and calm atmosphere of the game gives you the freedom to explore special locations such as shipwrecks and underwater ruins, discover and interact with sea-life, complete fish logs or simply relax in the soothing environment. The game begins with you onboard a diving boat, with a crewmember that provides advice and tips on finding the best locations for fish and helps you advance the storyline. Assume the role of the diver, opting to go into the water to explore sea-life at your own pace utilizing tools such as a camera or fish bait. In the cabin on the boat, you can access the fish log to check out the fish that have been spotted, as well as carry out missions like photographing marine life. These missions unlock content, such as new items to use underwater, or different diving gear that can be used to customize your diver. Navigate through the depths using the Wii remote and guide your character using the pointer's cursor, visible as a bright blue dot. Interact with fish or plants and discover new species while building up your fish log. Befriend companions like a dolphin which will become your partner and with whom you can train and swim with. The Wii's unique Wi-Fi Connection Service allows players link up with your friends. By exchanging friend codes, two players may dive and explore the ocean together.
Looking to kick back and relax? Endless Ocean features several soothing modes. On the deck of the boat is a deckchair that allows you to sit and watch the sea. Alternatively in the aquarium section of the game, you can select fish they have seen and add them in an aquarium for a closer inspection. The relaxed setting is further heightened with a

User Comments about the Endless Ocean: Dive, Discover, Dream

Sometimes I actually believe I am swimming along side a whale. The thing I love about this adventure is that it is both relaxing and stimulating at the same time. How cool is that. I can also get lost in some pretty tough puzzles, like the things you need to do to complete the Ruins. After working all day, I can come home and lose myself in a gorgeous, breathtaking ocean. I cannot think of any other game or adventure that has invoked such jaw-dropping awe in me. And I have actually seen a few whales in real life.

A few minutes (or an hour) in the deep blue does wonders. This is the most relaxing thing. Probably not a must have for the typical gamer, but for ocean lovers who just want to escape it's a winner. The first time I went in a blue hole, I couldn't take my eyes off the sun rays beaming down. My son got me this because I love the ocean, and I am mesmerized by the graphics and sounds. It's the first thing I want to do now when I get home from my stressful teaching job. I wish there were more games like this; I'd definitely get more use out of the family wii.

This is a pretty decent game. The beginning/ending sequences of each level are much longer than they need to be. The main negative thing is that it's tedious to get to each level. Fairly easy to play for everybody. We haven't played the whole thing yet. Also, they are just subtitles that you read, so real young kids (like my 4 year old) can't play unless someone older helps them.

I thought at first there was too much reading for my son (age 7), but we quickly got over that and LOVED the game. My 5 year old daughter loved to watch, and feed the dolphins. You don't have to play for hours to get to the next level like some games. We rented this game last week. What I really like about the game is that it is not difficult. There is always something new, and they offer suggestions for diving adventures, but don't force you to do them right then. I also learned a lot about fish.

If your child can't read well yet you will have to be in the room ready to read stuff, but I liked the game so much I didn't mind. So relaxing, so much to discover and just plain fun. Plus, you soon realize you don't have to read every single thing. We returned the game a few days ago, but Santa will definitely be bringing a copy to our house this Christmas.

I played this game at my friend's house it is acommination of pretty, soothing, and fun. I do not have a wii but now i would like to get one because this game is so much fun. If you need a fun and soothing game i would choose this one.
