User Comments about the Xbox 360 Elite Bundle

i do not recommend on purchasing these consoles from any where. oct 2008 is when my disc reader stoped working and now it doesnt work.ive called the xbox people to get a new one. i bought my xbox elite from amazon january 2008. it took them over an hour and a half to just get my address. im buy a ps3 this christmas for myself which is what i should of done a year a go.

Very quiet and I have had it for numerous months with no problems what so ever. It also has a bunch of memory, so you do not have to worry about downloading videos and movies, game maps, etc. This Xbox 360 Elite comes with 2 great games that are playable for the whole family. It comes with HD cables for sound and video and also standard. The Elite will almost never give you any problems and if it does, you can ship it into Microsoft for a free fix which unfortunately takes about 4 weeks.

It's not the TV (my DVD player works fine via HDMI), nor the cable, so it must be the console. First call to tech support was unhelpful; I imagine I'll have to eventually send it for repair. At other times, I get a single red ring and a system error message that tells me to call customer support. I purchased the Elite on October 1, 2008. Unfortunately, the console I received does not have the newest chipset.

Turning the console on and off makes it work properly. I called tech support about that too and they were unhelpful.Though I don't regret buying it (yet), I'm amazed at how buggy it is and how poor customer service seems to be (why on earth can't I buy the extra warranty protection via XBox Live). Turning it off-and-on again, however, does supply a picture. Though I've not played it a lot yet (I bought if for Fable 2, which isn't out yet), it's been amazingly undependable. The first time I turn it on for any individual sitting, there is no picture.

I have it connected via an HDMI cable to a Samsung HD flatscreen (model number LN-R268W), which I've had for years and never had a problem with before. As a longtime Mac and Wii user, everything about the XBox strikes me as clunky and poorly designed.

I've been using this model for over a month now. No issues so far.

Why do you want such a huge hard drive. Coming soon you can watch Netflix which is great. I have a bunch of games my dad likes saved right to the hard drive. I like the games I play. When I first got it, I had a digital input in my radio and an hdmi port in my tv, but the extender will not let you plug an hdmi and a digital cord into the 360 together so I had to use the yellow red and white. I get little creidt that I achieved something that my friend can see showing I did it. I like it.

I rent moveis all the time and download clips and free shows, free games, new maps and extras. Plus many games you just cant get that 360 makes (Halo3). Check to see what new awards they got on the games I got and set out to beat them. Because less is a worse feeling. Anything you do not like about it. Never gives me any problems, nice shiny look to fit in the spot Im putting it, can do a lot with it. The hdmi cord comes with it plugged right in to my radio and sounds LOUD and Crisp.

I love you can rent movies and watch them from your xbox. Well my review is not going to compare the old 360 with this one as I dont own an old 360 rather tell you what I enjoy about this one which could be the same as the old one, I dont know. Must say I like the sound quality better then the ps3. What makes the games on the 360 better then playing them on other consels. I can link up to my computer as a media extender to watch movies on the big screen. Upgraded my radio and now it has the hdmi port (reason I got it) and works great. Chat with my friends online. Others do not do this.

ya. I watch all my dvds on it ( no blue rays ) have to have a ps3 do something I guess. Duh (wouldnt play them if I didn't). Why have more then you need.
