User Comments about the Rock Band Drum Bag

With their diverse shapes and lengths, it's a bit like origami. The velcro straps are barely big enough to stretch over the tubes and components. The zippers, not the best though and the pull on one of mine came off on the first use. Not an easy task. The Process, and it is one : Your kit gets broken down into it's individual components and then laid out and velcro'd into place. The parts bang together and get kind of knocked around when carrying.

More of the Bad : My other complaint with this bag is that it isn't very well padded. Unfortunately, I cannot. The Good, what there is of it : The bag is made of a nice, strong material, it's not likely to rip. I wish I could give this bag a better review. I had to re-attach and then crimp with a pair of pliers. Basically, consider this a carrying device and nothing else - No protection, and not for storage. This is good.

Several times they've come undone while the bag was just sitting. No protection beyond the bag material itself.I'm hoping the good folks over at Rock Band come up with a better transport. Couple that with the velcro securing tabs, and it's not a fun or easy time of it. The problem is - the kit is bulky and the bag doesn't seem to take that into consideration. What is Bad - getting the drum kit placed in the bag properly and securing it down. All the parts, pedal and all, fit into the bag - but not very easily.

This one, it barely gets the job done.

I own and travel with several other soft case gig bags and have used them for years without problem.

I've owned this bag for three weeks only and the material has already separated from the stitching.

This case is not up to the challenge.

The outer material is way too thin to support the awkward way the components are individually secured into place with velcro.

My rockband show travels three days a week so after only nine shows this bag is already falling apart.

I am more worried about how this bag will hold up during transport than than the drums themselves, and thats truly sad.

The concept and layout is fine but the materials used FALL WELL SHORT of a $50.00 bag supposedly designed to make the Rockband drumkit more portable.

Consider yourself warned.

Before I bought this I thought it would be the ultimate space saving solution for my Rock Band drums. But the velcro straps for the kick drum pedal are way to spaced apart to hold it in as its shown in the diagram. Most pieces fit in the bag just as shown in the diagram. When I got it I noticed that there are some design flaws with it. For one, it comes with a diagram of how all the pieces for the Rock Band drums are supposed to fit inside the bag. It's just too bad that this is the only drum bag on the market.

Side pocket holds the drumsticks.Once I secured everything and zipped it up, it looked a little lumpy and uneven - but who cares how it looks, it totally gets the job done. Elastic straps (with velcro ends so they're adjustable) hold all the pieces securely in place. Very big bag made out of decent, tough material. A padded divider cushions the insides. Makes transporting or storing the drums easy.
