I just bought this product to go with my new psp-3000. I have not had to use any mods with tape or glue as some other people have. It barely moves at all and feels very secure. In short, it works great, it makes the PSP very comfy to hold and adds many hours of battery power. To reiterate what someone else said, I bought the PSP 3600 fat battery pack and it really makes the unit fit better in the holder. I couldnt be happier.
The Grip does what is described, which is really great. The only problem is that it does not hold the Slim perfectly (good but not perfect), and you don't want to grab it too tight when playing cause it might break the grip.
This handgrip/charger by itself, without the battery in the PSP, I get about 10 hrs of game play time. The construction feels loose and fragile. The PSP shifts in the charger while playing, other than that I'm very pleased with it's performance.
IMO not worth 29.99. Extremely flimsy and PSP moves around a lot. IMO it has great battery life. But as an external battery, it works great for traveling. Worth about $20 if that.
Yes, the PSP rattles around in the grip a bit and the handles also move a bit, due to the retractable feature.- Fix the loose clips by taping something on the inside of the grip on both sides, to make the PSP more snug against the clips- With each side extended fully, superglue them to the sliding track so they are permanently open. They won't move anymore. This made it better for me.
