Personally, I find the wiimote/nunchuck combo to be the best for me.Since that's up to personal preference, there's no reason to include it in my rating. As far as its usefulness is concerned, that's completely up to the buyer. The Wii Wheel is well made, solid, and attractive. My girlfriend prefers the wheel hands down when playing Mario Kart. So the product gets 5 stars for what it is -- a well-designed, well-finished product with good ergonomics.
My grandson loves the extra wheel and it is a lot better than what came with the game.
I consider them an essential part of the game system. My family has enjoyed the Wii racing games. The Nintendo wheel makes them seem very realistic. If you have a Wii and don't have a racing game, get one as soon as you can and be sure to get the wheel.
The new way to drive Mario cart is great even though the game could use a little tweaking. The small size of the wheel makes it easy to hold up and steer smoothly without over correction. Takes a little getting used to but better than connected units.
