User Comments about the Playstation 3 Soul Calibur IV Arcade Stick

Don't go online right away with this stick, I lost 5 matches in a row fighting against low leveled people with 15% winning chances. I'm used to the button layout of a controller, and on this stick, the buttons are turned clockwise, I keep doing horizontal attacks instead of vertical, and guarding when I need to do horizontal. I win most matches online, I am used to the ps3's controller, just bought the Hori Soul calibur IV stick and it is hard at first to use. About after an hour's use in training mode, I am used to it. Difficult moves that require "odd" button sequences and multi buttons pressed at once are much easier on this stick, much harder on a standard controller unless you remap the buttons. In all, it's a nice stick, just takes time to get used to, it's also much larger than I had thought, fits nice in my lap since there is nothing for me to rest it on.

I like the Hori Fight stick, it takes a bit to get used to. The only thing that would of had it better would have been a longer cord or wireless, I have to sit on the egde of my chair to use it

- Controls are responsive most of the time but there are minor situations when it doesn't response as expected. - the three mode (Fast, Normal, Slow) seems useless @ times. This is my first arcade style stick and I am please with the experience. As a perspective, I am an light/moderate gamer on consoles and PC.Pro: - The stick is good for SC4.

I've noticed on many occasions the mode will change on me without me touching it. Maybe happening while game play.but anyway its sensitive and the mode can cause problems during game play if you don't watch it.Even though I listed more cons than pros, the experience and enjoyment you get with the game like SC4 using the arcade stick out weight the minor issues. As previously mentioned, makes creating combos and other moves with SC4 easier than would be otherwise.Con: - this is comes with a long cord, so you're limited by the length. Makes playing the game a lot for enjoyable instead of being cramp using the PS3 controller.

Shouldn't be a problem if your seat is less 6 feet or less from the tube. Worst scenario - you can always go back to using the PS3 controller.

This arcade stick was just what I was looking for. It takes some time to get used to it but it is a very well made stick; it even feels more comfortable than an actual arcade sytem's stick. It is a nice buy and if you love fighting games i would not let this cheap but very durable stick go to waste; a must buy.

this arcade stick is the best one you can if you don't have the time to build one yourselves. works great and have not had any problems with it. Hori has always made a good product and this one lives up to its name
