Editorial Reviews:

Tired of the original wooden, small diameter drumstick. Here is your perfect alternative. The Rock Commandos deliver the hottest guitar controllers and accessories that are fully compatible with the Guitar Hero and Rock Band series of games on Playstation 2 and 3, and other gaming consoles. The whole body of this drumstick will light up in flame red or electric blue when struck on any surface, giving you a dramatic light show when playing drummer in Rock Band. The tip of the drumstick is also coated with silicon to reduce annoying thumping noises when playing.

User Comments about the TAC DSK-RED Illuminated Drum Sticks - Red

This product is cheap and is not a good deal at all. the sticks broke and cracked after only a week of use.

-You pretty much have to tape them together because they come loose.-They get really hot in the battery area-They light bulb goes out after usingMy son (16yrs old) was excited about these and then so disappointed. Not worth $10, $20 or $25. This item is a piece of junk. Should be sold at the dollar store.Reasons why:-They only last about a day or two. As a parent, its not worth the money.

The only little problem is the vibration they cause in your hands when you strike the drum. Okay, so when you strike the drum they get bright and begin to fade immediately until you strike again. They work as advertised and look REALLY cool. I typically go back to using the wooden sticks because the recoil is a bit rough on a plastic drum stick.

it was good while it lasted(stick broke in half in middle of game). im sticking with wooden sticks from now on

I thought the lighted drum sticks were a great idea, and initially I was really happy with how they looked and how they felt - they felt nicely balanced and I liked the heavier feel than the basic wood drum sticks. If they come out with a better set that isn't as loud, works better and is more durable, I might be willing to try it. I sent 'em back.Nice idea, but poorly executed in my opinion. But like others, I noticed how much louder they were than the basic sticks, how they rattled and such, and they both stopped lighting properly after only a few days of use. When Rock Band 2 came out, I ordered the ION Premium Drum Set, which has pretty solid drum pads. One of these lit-up sticks snapped in half within a couple of hours of playing on the new set. Otherwise, I'm just gonna stick with the wood sticks for now.
