After playing Crysis I eagerly purchased Crysis Warhead. I returned the game without opening it after I found out it contained SecuROM DRM protection and required activation (which you can only do a limited amount of times).
Oh, and did I mention I am a 3D game consultant too. A visit to EA's website reveals an unfriendly interface that yields nothing of value. While the game may boast some great technical marvels, the draconian DRM (copy protection) prevents the game from being installed in many cases. This is BY FAR the worst copy protection scheme I have ever seen, even considering the debacle called STEAM. The installer often fails meaning you have to revert to some very esoteric ways to get the product installed. The support in this situation is exactly none. Wow, what fun.I'm no noob, either, and have probably bought every major title to hit the shelves in the last 25 years. The people who shipped this should be flogged with a rope stacked with these worthless DVDs.
Why even bother talking about the game itself. You are then rewarded with the activation attempt, only to find it fails, too, and proceeds to delete the binary (main program) which prevents any more attempts unless you de-install and re-install. You are basically left to your own devices to figure out the problems - which are many. That process will take about 30-40 minutes per attempt. Do yourself a favor and pass on this $30 coaster.
Go get them instead since you actually buy the game forever, not just the right to use it a few times. These games WILL NOT work as soon as the activation servers are shut down. Being able to install, uninstall, and reinstall games is what makes many of them long lasting titles. DO NOT buy this game.
You only buy the rights to install it a few times. Don't think you'll ever even install it five times. Actually, you literally can't buy it. That is going to take up tons of room and slow your computer down. That could mean you only have a few years to play this game before it is trash forever. Also, SecuROM is basically malware.
You will have to leave ALL of them installed on your computer at the same time in order to prevent having to reinstall them. What if you replace a piece of hardware on your computer like a graphics card or motherboard. After that you throw it in the trash. What if you get a new computer.Suppose you'll never do any of those and you buy a bunch of SecuROM games. Do some research on malware to see why you don't want it on your computer. There are plenty of amazing and fun games out there that don't have DRM or SecuROM.
A must have game. Great game. Astonishing graphics, almost the same role play than the previous one, but still an interesting new playground. Specially if you got the 1st oneDVD1 single playerDVD2 multiplayer
The main draw for me was the story line and the action.
The first game Crysis leaves you with a movie sequence showing Nomad, Psycho and Dr.
A definite must have for any FPS gamer.Whatha"What the.
Rosenthal heading back to the island to continue the fight.
In Crysis Warhead there are new explosive you can use to blow up enemy vehicles and a few new weapons to fire.
Enter Crysis Warhead, continuing the story line, but now from Psycho's perspective - the British member of Raptor squad.
When I saw that I was ready for more action, but sadly that is where the game ended.
Overall, excellent story line and missions I enjoyed every minute of it even after playing it twice through on Delta difficulty.
