It's also available in a few other colors such as Nintendo DS Lite Nerf XL Case - grey/blue and Nintendo DS Lite Nerf XL Case - yellow/black. The only real question is if you are willing to pay the premium price for this unit and whether this may be overkill for you. While I do like this case, for me I have used the smaller Nintendo DS Green Nerf Lite Armor which will still protect your DS pretty good and also allow you to play through. In addition, it completely protects your DS when closed where the Nerf Armor leaves a few small areas exposed.Other cases like the Nintendo DS Traveler Case Blue and the Nintendo DS Traveler Case Black are generally not as good, though some may still like them. If you are looking for a case to transport your DS Lite and accessories, the Nintendo DS Lite Nerf XL Case - blue/orange is the way to go. Of course if you really need something with space for lots more stuff, then the XL is the way to go. The plastic traveler case also comes in a variety of colors but is nowhere near as durable or functional. It is a little smaller and cheaper, but the XL is still better overall and fits much more stuff inside.PROS:+ The storage capacity fits tons of games and other extras along with your DS+ The case protects your stuff well when closed+ Comes with a big Nerf stylus too so you can play through with the DS in this case+ Easily fits things that other travel cases will not, such as your AC adapter+ A few color options which are coolCONS:- Playing with the DS in the case may not be ideal because of the case size and the DS position inside- The list price is a little high, but compared to the competition it's probably worth the premium- The large size of this case may deter some peopleDefinitely check this out if you need a case to transport your DS and accessories.
Some newer versions of the same case are coming out soon with different color combinatsion like the Nintendo DS Lite Nerf Armor - black/red. The Nerf coating obviously makes it nice and durable if it's dropped, and the amount of extras you can fit inside is great. I normally just bring my games along in a smaller case like the Nintendo DS Game Card Case so I don't need the game storage of the XL as much. And if you want to play with your DS still in your case, this fits that bill too.Enjoy.
