Microsoft Xbox 360 Pro System Xbox 360 60GB

User Comments about the Xbox 360 Console Includes 60GB Hard Drive

I bought it to replace a failed xbox360 unit 1.5 year old. CC ext. warranty issued a full refund. This revision looks exactly as previous ones, just smaller power brick (175W).The changes are inside: 4 Memory chips on the bottom removed and the ones on top are doubled.MS believes bottom memory chips overheating was primary cause of RRoD due to a bad ventilation.Time will tell if it is true.Good Luck with yours.

I personally had 11 360's and spent over 24 hours on the phone with Microsoft Tech support over a nine month period trying to get a 360 that works, naturally given the review score I never did get a working one. These are still just as prone to break (Red Ring of Death or RROD if you prefer) as all the other units. The new 60GB units still use the same old faulty unreliable Falcon chipset and motherboards. Buyer beware, if your buying this for yourself then consider this your warning, please do not buy this for a family member especially younger children as this will quickly become far to big of a time consuming excerise for any parent to deal with. Please spare your self the frustration and do not be decieved this is the exact same broken console from three years ago.

I bought the Xbox 360(60 GB)in 2006 and it's a great system if you love playing great games. The system has a great library of games like Gears of War,Halo 3, Dead Rising,Dead or Alive 4,and many other great games.I like the setup of this system because you can download game demos, music, movies, and listen to the Ipod while playing games. The downside is that the fan is loud, but I don't really notice too much.I have five game systems(Snes,Ps1,Ps2,Dreamcast,Xbox 360) they are all great in their own way and thats why I like having the choice of systems rather then keeping just one.My system had the Red Ring of Death, when the Xbox logo has three red lights if you didn't know,it wasn't a big deal I just called the Xbox help line and they sent me a box to send it back and a week later it came back as good as new.Microsoft did a really great thing about the extended warranty and I don't know why people complain about this problem they fixed it for free and they even paid for shipping. I would recommend Xbox 360 to people that like great games and if you like the whole next-gen graphics detail which I like, but it's not everything, I like a great story over graphics. The system is mostly aimed at mature gamers, you can tell by the games. Pros: great 1st and 3rd party games,Xbox Live, amazing graphics, Cons: Loud FanGreat games I recommend (some are on other systems):Dead Rising,Gears of War,Call of Duty 2 and 4,Crackdown,Viva Pinata,Bioshock,Saints Row,Lost Planet,Condemned 1 and 2

Just picked up my xbox 360 60gb model. It was slightly warm that's it. I left it on for 7 hrs just to see if all is well and all was well. All the previous issues seem to be fixed. The fans on the 60gb model are quiet now unlike my previous one and also the system does not get hot like the previous models. They finally fixed this console.

Why. Hope this helps all of you future buyers, as well as those of you who have already made a purchase.Edit: So the price guarantee is apparently 30 days not 100. So in early September check back here when the price goes down so that you can get 50 dollars back. Keep an eye on the wattage information to confirm your Jasper units. Going from assembly line to stores finally. Things to note about this product:-This is NOT the Jasper console, these consoles are the newer bundles they created to clear inventory of Falcon boards while they work on inventory of Jaspers (The Jaspers were to be produced in August and that is what they are doing right now.

The new price-tag on these Pro bundles will be $299.99 Do not panic if you bought one at the $349.99 price. As the new GPU should reduce the PSU wattage requirements.

Producing, not releasing for retail sale -yet-)-This console will be reduced in price once again in early September. The price reduction in September would verify these new Jaspers as they're cheaper to produce, hence a cheaper price tag.

That is technically all the current information available. Right now they're still at the assembly line stage.

-The September consoles are when 'technically' the new Jaspers should start rolling off the assembly line and into stores. Amazon has a price guarantee, meaning for 30 days if the price of any product goes down, you are entitled to cash back to price match the new cost.

See what I said above about August production. Did a lot of research on this, since I'm currently in the market.
