Once you get this, you won't be able to stop playing it. This game is very fun, and will entertain serious to casual gamers. Also, even if they don't have the game but still have a DS, you can still play the 3 minigames (they're "alright") and Spring Breeze with the other. With all of that, I definetally reccomend this game. The graphics are just amazing and it's not one of those games that you'll beat in a day. Practically every mode can be played with another that has the game, which makes it so much better. I've probably played Spring Breeze over 15 times just for fun.
Other than that, I would give it a 4.5/5 which rounds up to a 5. Sometimes they get in your way of absorbing powers, sometimes they do good. I do realize that this game is a remake of Kirby Super Star for the SNES (I think), but I still don't enjoy the helpers too much. I really enjoyed Kirby 64 when kirby could combine 2 powers into a new, better one, and hoped Nintendo would add that. Definetally reccomended.
i probably am too old for this game, (im 13) but i am a big fan of Nintendo games, and i was very excited when another game came out. RECOMENDED FOR KIDS UNDER 10. after playing the first level, which i beat within a few minutes, i was bored and very disapointed. i own the past kirby game Squeak Squad, and compared to Squeak Squad, it is extremely boring and simple. I am a big fan of the fast paced side scrolling mario games. there is barely any plot, and no point. i am planning on reselling it after only having it for 10 minutes.i had turned my DS on all excited and expecting another excellent game by nintendo, but i was disapointed deeply.this is just my opinion, but it was reeeaaallly boring.
It still has the fun of the original games, a few color details of kirby based powers have changed, but it is tasteful. All the original games are still there, and the new games are still entertaining. I also enjoy the updated story scenes.
Knowing how much my 6 year old grandson liked Kirby, I purchased the latest Kirby Super Star Ultra for him. To say he loves it would be an understatement. My son tells me they have to restrict his playing time or this would consume most of his day.
Having adventures in groups is better then exploring on your own. I enjoyed the cute character design that is typical for Japanese anime games [those who have seen the anime 'Hoshi no Kirby'[known in the USA as Kirby.Right Back at Ya]. If you enjoyed the original super star, this game will not disappoint. It has six ace levels, including Dynablade and Spring Breeze, not to mention three sub games.
will recognize some of the characters] and the happy feeling this game gives you, with its bright colors and eye-catching designs. One thing that bothers me is the easiness of the levels, and how quickly you can finish the game. Still, it's a great buy, especially for children under the age of 12. Another great feature is the ability to make friends which will fight along side you. The main concept is to suck up foes and copy abilities, then use these to fight other enemies, such as King Dedede and Sir Meta Knight.
Or you can connect with real friends. A must buy for Kirby fans.Leah Clayton [daughter]
